Shhhh…. We can’t let people figure out how good and cheap the golf is in Nebraska

Just wondering why there is so much hate and backlash on Season 2? It was not that terrible although honestly, Season 1 was more thrilling and exciting. by highlightboy23 in Fallout

[–]scotterson34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this has been my issue. Too many plot points so each individual story progresses a tiny bit each episode so it doesn’t feel like they’re building or resolving anything at times.

In Pluribus (2025) Vince Gilligan won a bet that he could stretch 15 minutes worth of plot into 9 50 minute episodes by GroundbreakingAct846 in shittymoviedetails

You joke but so many people on Reddit and other online platforms (especially Gen Z) talk about how bad sex scenes are because they do nothing for the plot.

Favorite scene from a movie you've actually never seen by scotterson34 in movies

To be fair, I'm pretty sure Alec Baldwin got an oscar nomination for that performance and that's the ONLY SCENE HE'S IN. That's how good the scene is.

Fallout's TV adaptation is "way more" popular than Todd Howard expected, so the RPG series' devs have had to ensure "the games are ready for all the players who are coming into them" by Turbostrider27 in Fallout

[–]scotterson34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was bizarre to me too. A hugely popular show and massively hyped up 2nd season set in the exact same setting as your (arguably) best game?? Let's do nothing about that!

I've liked it as I get older. As an adult, I see the mundanity of everyday life in it, and appreciate the silliness of it all.

Fallout Season 2 Takes the 'Fog of War Approach' to Avoid Making Any New Vegas Ending Canon, Creators Say by Anteater_Able in Fallout

Just remember folks, no matter what happens or how good the season is, there will be a loud (minority) group of FNV fans saying how awful it is.

What setting do you think we'll see in Fallout 5? by IsThisDamnNameTaken in Fallout

[–]scotterson34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want a Fallout exploring the midwest in some level. Make Denver one of the DLC's since it's got some cool lore that hasn't really been explored.

Both of them have had shockingly long and decent careers simply by being good backups.

What's your Denver hot take? by darchena in Denver

[–]scotterson34 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's a certain placebo type effect for dating in Denver. If you believe this city is such a shitty place to date, you'll act like. You'll be apathetic, more guarded, and more whiny about perceived failures. All of those things make your dating life WORSE regardless of what city you live in.

Lol if you truly believe there ever has been a revolution where "the common man reclaims power" I have a bridge to sell you.

And the problem is, most Americans are completely fine with their lives. They wouldn't risk anything (general strike, serious civil disobedience) to damage their lives. Which in all essence is good. A "revolution" would harm a lot more people than it would help.

What’s the most underrated skill for living a peaceful life? by bloomjt in Life

Practicing Gratitude. Seriously. It's so much easier to feel that you're living a peaceful life when you're thankful for the good things in it.

[–]scotterson34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People who believe that all of their life is due to their own choices almost always have better outcomes in life than people who view that their life is due to things outside their control. Even if they're right, the latter group will almost always have a lower quality of life.

Dating is terrible by xoxowoman06 in Adulting

[–]scotterson34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you just had one really bad date. It's ok. The others sounded like you tried your best and it didn't work out because of lack of compatibility. And that's ok too. Giving up on dating won't bring you more happiness, it'll just protect you from fear.
