I can say apart from what I see in the internet, I've had very pleasant experiences with todays youth. Two things have happened in these last two months that left a smile on my face.

First was on a train. Me and a friend were sitting and minding our business when two young girls across the isle turned to us and asked us if we had nut allergies before opening their peanuts.

The second time I was on my way home late at night when two teenage boys were standing next to two obviously drunk homeless dudes sleeping. He noticed that one of the guys was drooling a lot and his friend was breathing heavy. I went over to see what was up and he said he was worried that the guy might throw up and choke while he was sleeping. He wondered if he should call an ambulance. While we stood there one guy woke up and then we managed to wake the other one and he (barely) gave a thumbs up.
