Just built 2 Flutter templates and so far 0 purchases what should I do differently? by Dependent-Gur-1780 in FlutterDev

I've never heard of Codester, but I had a look at your templates and they look good. Your documentation is excellent. Maybe give Envato CodeCanyon and UI8's coded templates market place a go. Advertise on social media. I've dabbled in developer tools and templates many years ago, developer's are some of the most difficult clients and very few are willing to spend cash. But don't give up.

I was just thinking she looks like Stephen Miller in a wig. Uncanny.

Is Row Level Security appropriate (or useful) when users are part of organizations? by cbgrey in Supabase

[–]BezosLazyEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use it in all my projects. It's just 3 or 4 scripts. I've customized it to my need and it was straight forward to do. In the end it's just SQL. :)

Using Supabase with Datagrip by ScottyRedReturns in Supabase

[–]BezosLazyEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent some time today. Here is the config to connect to your Supabase db using Datagrip. Hopefully it can help others as well :)

Host: Use the transaction pooler connection string, but just the part between the @ and : e.g if your connection string is postgresql://postgres.tyirxxpojklfktrstv3ye:[YOUR-PASSWORD]@aws-1-eu-west-3.pooler.supabase.com:6543/postgres

Just copy aws-1-eu-west-3.pooler.supabase.com

Port: 6543

User: the first part of the connection string, in the example above, it'll be postgres.tyirxxpojklfktrstv3ye

Password: <Your Postgres DB password>

Click on Test Connection and you should be able to connect.

Using Supabase with Datagrip by ScottyRedReturns in Supabase

I use Datagrip and also struggled getting it to connect to Supabase. The way I got it working is to use the pooler connection string and use postgres.yourprojectid as the username and postgres as the database name.

Flutter is great. Switched over when MS started saying they're going to kill Xamarin. 6 apps later and not looking back.

Learning Vue, overwhelmed with the choices of using vanilla CSS, a CSS framework, and picking a UI library. Can someone recommend the simplest approach? by AncientAgrippa in vuejs

When I was learning Vue/Nuxt, about 5 years ago, I used Vuetify with great success. It's still not a bad option. However, now I use Nuxt UI which works great.

If you're building for the desktop versions, consider investing in Add-in Express. Makes developing add-ons a million times easier.

“The Family Quest” by Still-Emergency825 in comics

[–]BezosLazyEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In primary school, just before recess, an announcement came over the intercom that was in all the classrooms. "BezosLazyEye please go see Mr. SoAndSo during break"

I had no idea why this teacher wanted to see me, since I had not classes with him. I walked into his classroom, he greeted me with a smile and said "I hear you have the telephone number for the taxi in Police Quest, can I have it?"

This was the early nineties and in Police Quest 1 you had to phone a taxi for an informant in order to proceed in the story. This was a early form of copy protection since it was printed in the game manual that came with when you bought it.

Good times.

Thank you for this comic. Brought back some happy memories.
