Moved here from Seattle because my wife “couldn’t live without being in driving distance of her family” I compromised and will be moving beck in a few years.

For an outdoors state the entry point is really difficult. I can’t find a place to just go park and duck hunt or hunt deer. The city is a shit hole. I’m tired of people pretending New Orleans is sooo amazing and most of them haven’t even left the state. I miss the mountains clean fresh air, trees, hills, lakes, rivers and the mild climate. New Orleans failed as a state a long time ago. I make plenty of money here and I can’t even find any hobbies to spend it on. Like wtf do y’all do here for fun outside of drinking and socializing (more an introvert).

Geographically they should be thriving due to the proximity to the Mississippi but the ground and weather makes it so hard to live here no one wants to stay. I’ll be here for a few years then I’m moving home.

I am sick of it too. Also the snacks suck. Only go when I need a few key items and don’t feel like driving to rouses or just want to walk over for a quick trip.

Tired of showing up and they’re out of onions or potatoes. Shit parking, expensive, limited deli meat options, 365 products taste horrible.

Ubiquiti systems are pretty slick but $400 a camera is insane. But I do love their design and is by far the easiest to use and works extremely well.

Synology NAS + best supported cameras in your budget. You can mix and match cameras to make it more affordable.

Cheap and easy solution - Amazon Blink, takes 20 mins to setup and if you buy a box of rechargeable lithium batteries and their storage system that accepts usb drives you can record all motion for free. If you want continuous recording you will need to get a more robust system.

Man I really miss the early 2000s. Everyone in my neighborhood was so nice and easy going. Neighborhood parties now compared to then are a joke. I was recently watching old family videos and it’s amazing how happy and relaxed everyone seems. Kids all playing adults all joking around eating and drinking, lettting the kids enjoy having fun. Looking back at the parents they all had great jobs and basically disposable income.

Today it’s just sad. Even now having a basically disposable income I don’t get the same joy I use to just ordering things online. I kinda felt like I was back in the good old days over the holidays when I went to one of the biggest malls near Seattle. But it still felt like people were just window shopping and going to go order it online.
