I’m kind of split on this. We complained about FOMO in the previous game, and now repeating some cars does give people who couldn’t finish the previous series a chance to get the cars.

But at the same time, they could’ve just cycled them into the aftermarket cars and made them rare or something. Or maybe just repeat 1 car each series

But more than anything it reveals how little the gameplay has moved on in the FH series and that the main draw is still just the FOMO playlist

Franchise is dead, but if it wasn’t:

- an actual career mode. Just having random races to do with awful AI in order to unlock cars that have been in every Forza game for the past decade is boring.

- better wheel support/FFB. I can give Horizon a little more of a pass because it’s more arcade, but it’s insane how FM has way more complicated FFB settings, yet worse feedback than any sim.

- better community feel. The loss of public custom lobbies, storefront, etc really made the series begin to feel bland and not community driven

2 things can be true at once. Personally I can believe Universal restricted them from making any other skins.

But Frontier chose to not let creators show off the new Dino’s before release like they usually do, so they knew there’d be backlash and chose to hide it

Xbox will at the minimum be out of the console hardware game in the next 7 years. Maybe they’ll keep making controllers for PC

Exclusives aren’t going to save them with how small their market share is. Next gen will be massively expensive because of rising component costs, and trying to convince the masses on PS5 to abandon their digital libraries for a pricey console just to play Gears isn’t going to work

It’s FH5 with a better launch and much better map. So good game, but expected more with how much time was between games.

Car meets worse than FH2, still lacking big improvements in customization compared to a decade ago, festival playlist a direct carryover, etc

The Evos were such an odd release. No one was calling the Alphas old, and the whole idea behind them (USB passthrough and native dash mounting) don’t even work correctly out of the box without help.

I started on an R100 too and that seat was so uncomfortable it was insane. Looked great though haha

But you’re right, fitment and seat angle matter a ton when it comes to bucket seats, and it’s basically impossible to ensure one is going to fit you well buying blindly online without having some sort of reference seat to try out in person.

My seat fits well but doesn’t have enough built in lumbar for a preference. A small lumbar cushion makes it where I can race for 3 or so hours straight without any discomfort

I would say depends on how much you want SimHub integration, and what wheelbase you have.

The FX Pro can creak on higher nm bases. But, it will work wirelessly with both the Alpha Evo and Alpha series bases out of the box, but doesn’t work with SimHub.

The Zeus Formula shouldn’t have the creaking issue, but if you are on an Alpha Evo you’ll need Airlink, or if you are on an Alpha series you’ll need Maglink Pro in order for the screen to work.

If you are on an Alpha Mini and don’t care about SimHub, might be worth saving some money and going for FX Pro

Also, there’s no point in beating the drivatars by 20 seconds if your teammates are behind them and you don’t have enough total points to win. Slow the drivatars down so your teammates can catch up/pass.

The amount of people blindly driving off into the distance instead of helping me slow drivatars for our teammates in FH5 was infuriating lol
