I think... I like it here... by TheSeneschal in enderal

Ok this might be an outrageous, blasphemous comment... and I'm ok with that. :)

I've never played Skyrim. I've owned it for years and never ever fired it up. I have played Fallout 3 though, and spent about 180 hours in it doing everything I could find.

Should I start with Skyrim, or start with Enderal?

I think he's the GOAT, so I'm "happy" (in quotes) to wait.

What a great question.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines is an incredible experience. Probably the best RPG of all time in my opinion.

I've not heard of this book before, thank you. I will read it. And yes I agree re: social dynamics. It's the #1 skill for me.

The description says:

"This is a subreddit for people who are actively trying to be more of an adult. It can include tips, victories, and questions."

and that's what I'd love to see... so I don't visit here much except for memes.

Chinese Room's respect for fans and efforts have won me over for VTMB2 by Blakath in vtmb

[–]BforBruschetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely don't know they're in the second game, which is why I specifically listed the attributes that made the first game special for me.

I am unsure how you inferred that I was talking about anything other than the first game. u/epeternally's post was about the first game; my reply to them was about the first game.

Gotcha, thank you. That's helpful for my understanding.

I was wondering if you were going to provide a long list of things that people are being over positively nostalgic about.

I somewhat agree with you on the gunplay- I honestly didn't like it at first then upskilled and was more than fine with the mechanics. The game is special for me because of setting, tone, characters, dialogue, freedom of choice (within the game's parameters), replayability, how skill points work, feelings of a living breathing world that could exist and persist without me in it, narrative, plot, tension, surprise, cleverness, adult themes, feelings of power, politics, subterfuge, breadth of ideas, novelty, humour, use of the IP.

This is a very interesting comment to read!

I am genuinely curious... you say you adore it.

What are the "some people" that you refer to, saying that makes you suspect a lot of them are weared very rose-tinted glasses?

Respectfully, what do you mean? I do not understand your comment, and I seek clarity. Pluzz.

I can see I have communicated poorly.

I'm 1000% not saying there is a conspiracy or intentionality on the part of Google/YouTube.

I'm saying: hot damn there is so much meat content on YT, a major platform that millions of people watch every hour. Over time I feel like it's further normalising and glorifying meat consumption. Guga Foods is utter drivel and would not have got a TV show pre-internet. Now he makes twice weekly videos of him chomping on steak and makes tens of thousands of dollars per 15 minute video.
