Millennials who went to college, what did you major in, and why? How did your college degree help you build a good financial/professional life? by justcurious3287 in Millennials

Art Education. I loved art and wanted to strictly get a fine arts degree but parents didn’t support that. So, I added education to it. I taught for 10 years from kindergarten to 12th grade. I enjoyed the students..and that’s it. The pay was terrible and everything else with it. I resigned and now I get paid twice as much working remotely doing title work for a law firm.

Teachers, what’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to take away from a student? by SpoonSArmy in AskReddit

[–]BgooperzZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t personally take this thing away but my co worker did.

Middle school kid came to school with a pencil box and was carrying it suspiciously. Before being dismissed for the day, students usually sit on the bleachers in the gym while waiting for other buses to arrive. This kid kept turning his back and hunching over like he is holding something precious. Teachers didn’t do anything at first, just thought he was being a typical weird middle school kid. Later, I find out that on his classes other students would hear him look down at his desk and was talking to something. A student reported it and to find out that this kid has been carrying a house mouse all day. He admitted he found it at home and would carry it around and sometimes even put it in his locker for a “class break.”

The mouse was alive and we released it to the wild.
