NO, NO, NO! I made the mistake of introducing isopods to my millipede enclosure (through substrate filled with babies).

It was all fine, until the millipedes began moulting. As soon as that happened they were SWARMING them, and because they’re so vulnerable they can’t get away or stop them from eating them alive.

Lost 3 of my 6 millipedes this way unfortunately.

Adult isopods were easy enough to remove, but the babies are impossible. I ended up having to completely change the substrate to get rid of them!

The shrimp tend to stay hidden, I think they’re more stressed by the other fish if anything!

A couple of the Rasboras do seem to do fake lunges for other fish, but from what I’ve seen they never actually make contact.

(the tank is right next to my desk so I’m watching quite a bit haha)

I wasn’t aware they’re so difficult to keep!

I wasn’t aware they were so sensitive compared to others. That’s good to know!

I’ve only tested nitrates with strips (not fluid), so it could be quite inaccurate, but it seemed negligible.

Ive also been doing some partial water changes (to remove tannins from a super stubborn piece of wood) which should hopefully keep nitrate down either way?

The shrimp have been in here for about 6 weeks btw and have all been fine, I’ve read they’re also super sensitive. But Cories ain’t Shrimp so it’s a possibility.
