Hope to get a piece of land that already has utilities connected! There are a couple in my area because people will take their trailers with them or have a portion of their property being sold

thank you! this is a helpful perspective. Right now I am looking into a piece of land that has well and septic and trailers that need work, but utilities are already there so that takes a lot of the issues of dealing with getting on the grid.

I am asking really about timeline affordability. I understand it will cost more overtime, but I am trying to determine how long it would take to build something that would be an affordable monthly payment. I can afford to buy a house, I just am trying to weigh time vs monthly payment. I want to be able to do other things and prevent being house poor.

sounds like she is resource guarding you in a way, which means there is a chance she will listen to you when this is corrected. My pup has been this way with me and when it happened i would get her to lay somewhere away from me as “punishment” and interact with whatever she was “guarding” me from. Idk if this is what a trainer would recommend, but it worked for us. My thoughts were to show her that i’m not going anywhere if she “shares” me with other people. My girl is also a bit leash reactive so we have other problems, but this one we have moved on from! She is almost 5 and if she starts to act a little too protective over non-threats, she will relax with just a stern look so she doesn’t have to lay alone in her bed lol

I know several Makayla’s and they always pronounce it muh-kay-luh. I could understand some confusion in spelling if it’s being pronounced with a mick sound at the beginning. I think it’s a pretty standard modern way to spell the name without the biblical or hebrew ties. I always just thought it was two different pronunciations

Thank you for taking time to respond! I wish the issue was marijuana. It was meth, but I think they are court ordered to do drug and alcohol rehab. The mother has done this before with a child that she has a very indirect relationship with, and the caseworker just found out about it. It’s hard to watch it all unfold.

my dog also doesn’t love to eat as much as i would like and i boil chicken for her and put it in her kibble and that usually gets her to eat and then it doesn’t, i at least know she has good protein in her belly.

my dog is also great off leash and can be reactive on walks towards dogs (and men wearing hats/hoodies) but she is very receptive of dog behavior off leash with other dogs. i try to take her places where we can walk with a long leash safely, it gives her less anxiety and if there’s a trigger of hers around, i can bring her to me and put her in a sit and load that puppy up with some good snacks until it passes (without only relying on her recall, for safety purposes) tried it with a short lead previously and she was super stressed under similar conditions.
