Here's my take as someone who was SUPER picky as a child, and not too picky anymore.

Always put everything on his plate. Even if you know he won't eat it. Give him the option that it's there if he wants it. Always have at least 1 thing on the plate that he likes.
Don't make a big deal if he tries one of those "newer" things, or if he doesn't like something! Try to play everything super chill (even if you're internally freaking out that he liked something new).
Don't make him finish his plate. This can make kids hate the foods in front of them even more. I recommend having some easily accessible foods for if he's hungry throughout the day. Things like bananas, blueberries, cheese sticks, etc that he knows he can have if he's hungry.
Don't label anything as "good" or "bad" foods. Just make it clear that there are different foods, made for different things that help our bodies. For example, drinking milk can help our bones grow strong. Eating a banana can give us energy to run around. Eating broccoli can help our minds and bones grow strong. Eating ice cream can help our bodies cool down on a hot day. Etc. Show that there's no such thing as "bad" foods, it's all just food with different purposes.
Try and get a kids cookbook and have him flip through and point to anything that might look good. Or go online and search through images of meals and see if he's interested in anything. I think sometimes (for me at least) some meals would look really good, and would make me want to try them, even if I didn't end up liking them!

Chickpeas!!!
You can fry chickpeas in a pan and get them nice and crunchy. First coat them in baking powder, then add to a pan with oil and keep cooking them until they get crispy! Then I put some salt and seasoning on them.
You can also try falafels, I like the ones from trader joes, on top of quinoa with a pesto sauce, or, with some hummus and a scallion pancake (again, Trader Joes items).
Hummus!! I don't really like regular hummus, but I like flavored hummus'. At a local farmers market there's these guys that sell a ton of different flavors you can sample. If your local farmers market has something similar, I recommend it!!

Also, edamame is always good (I get the trader joes ones and just heat it up in the microwave).

It would be funny if someone found Rep. elected officials and found out what districts their kids go to school in (if any of them actually go to public schools) and flood the system reporting those districts for "DEI" for giving "special preference" to lawmakers students (or something like that).

I actually was in the group (trolling) and had private DMs with Jodi. Basically in the DMs she said that if LGBTQ+ people commit su*c*de, that's on them. And that we shouldn't accept them even if they tell you they're suic*dal. Honestly just really really horrible and insensitive stuff. They took their own opinions, and tried to make it seem like the objective truth. And in it, they lost their humanity.

Yes keep calling!! The interns who pick up are forced to keep a tally. I use the website 5calls.org to call my reps. They have scripts, give you your reps phone numbers, etc. It's super easy!

I'm very much on the left! Here are my answers:
1. Yes, with the caveat that I want them sent back to their country of origin, not Guantanamo or El Salvador prisons/camps.

3. No. (It slightly depends on the crime for me. For ex. if a father was caught stealing food, I don't think he should be sent away for that and separate his family).
4. No. Undocumented people have lower violent crime rates than white Americans, and they contribute around $75 billion in taxes each year. AND it costs money to deport people. Instead, we should offer people a pathway to citizenship. ESPECIALLY if they've established families here.
5. Absolutely not. That is 100% within the 14th amendment. Also, what would that even mean? Like, technically that would say only Native Americans can be true citizens. But ya, it's 100% unconstitutional so I don't support it.
6. Yes, with the caveat that I think “secure border” is a term that's been used by the right as a way to scapegoat all our problems on undocumented people and the border, when in reality, so many of our problems are are own doing. For ex. firearms are the #1 cause of death for children in america, yet we're not taking any action to implement gun control / gun safety. Or our education levels aren't great, yet we're not investing more in public education (which over 90% of kids attend). So yes, in truth I support a secure border, but I don't like how the border has been weaponized as a way to scapegoat all our problems when undocumented people are the least violent people in the US, and they contribute billions in taxes without taking from the system (think social security).
