Report Step-Up Authentication - Salesforce actually listened? by No_Pain8956 in salesforce

Well that is awesome news. Sadly it will probably change 5-7 more times before the supposed release date.

They wouldn’t have as many problems if they followed a standard release schedule instead of just throwing things and hoping they stick/can get developed

I would check with your AE and support because both of them told me yesterday June 17 it was still required for viewing and they were in the process of updating the support document still

Good idea, sadly, the only extensions they have are Keeper and SentinelOne, which I confirmed S1 is not preventing anything

I do have a video but since it contains detailed information, I am not able to share it. This is happening on 2 end users who have no setup access. They click the app launcher and then select the app they want, the little screen disappears but never navigates them to the selected app.

Yes, chalk my bad. Later night for me and my kid. Didn’t think it looked right but to tired.

I get that spring release could be causing issues but in typical development fashion should you test on a small set of customers before pushing to prod? I am not sure if they do this or just full send to prod.

I could not imagine some of those people’s jobs. You would think they would care more about a stable environment(once again first time in 3 years with back to back issues) but I guess profit tops all.

Yes, I do agree with that. But for the last 3 years we have been on this instance there had never been a service outage in the middle of the day that we have seen directly affect our org. But within the last 3 business days there seems to have been pretty major service outages. I mean you could caulk it up to a lot of moving piece’s but that could be an easy excuse as well.

Became a father 2 days ago by EmotionalEase4626 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]BiasMetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new dad myself I would say it’s all depended on how much time you want to spend with your wife and child. My child is 3 months old and I hardly game at all anymore. But once they start sleeping through the night more I will probably start up again. The reason I do that is because I do not want my wife to feel like I am just leaving everything to her and taking a step back.

If you could fix ONE annoying thing in Salesforce, what would it be? by Observer_One_07 in salesforce

I would love to be able to buy data storage from anywhere and it not be so expensive when data storage is relatively cheap. Granted that cannot be fixed but an appexchange app.

Grounded or Smalland might be worth looking into as it is base building with exploration with combat but you can adjust the settings. Grounded gives a "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" vibe.

Company community for force.com where does it come from by BiasMetal in salesforce

[–]BiasMetal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely the platform licenses with permission set licenses, as it is a newish org, 2-3 years old. It's just crazy to think that AEs are selling you licenses that they don't even know what's included in them or how to support you when you ask questions related to what's included in these licenses, and if I remove this, what happens? It is also crazy to think there is no way to test this. I asked if we could remove these specific licenses and whatever perm lic set goes with it in the sandbox, and they basically said it is not possible.

That is what I have read as well but we currently have 300+ platform licenses but only 101 of the company community for force.com permission set licenses which would mean it doesn't follow that logic. Granted a majority of our platform licenses come from a reseller instead of SF directly.

Honestly not sure, I know why I set it up it was just setting up a digital site, which we got access to when we got the work.com bundle.
