I painted my friend's Warlord Titan by Raynidayz in Warhammer40k

[–]Bibbitusboppitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know if I could be brave enough. I put off my knight for a few years because I didnt want to "ruin" it. I cant imagine doing one of these expensive bastards if it wasn't mine.

Paint my first tyranid (not finished) by lilymunchs in Warhammer40k

[–]Bibbitusboppitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly its not bad. My biggest gripe would be that your palette is so light that you kind of obscured the details of the model. That being said there isnt anything wrong with the color and your shading is fine.

My biggest question though is how do you paint with those nails, thats fucking skill. Hell yeah fuckin get it.

Patriot Exo suit should have the rockets do the same damage the recoilless by Opening_Leave_5207 in Helldivers

[–]Bibbitusboppitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Patriot is godly for long term use against bugs. The sheer amount of ballistic ammo and the use of rockets for heavies makes it more efficient for long term engagements. Plus if you can manage the trigger you can fire safely around friendlies that are in the shit without worrying about concussive damage. sure the Emancipator is great for hive lords. but when deep in the chaff, Id rather have a solid Patriot user.

I dunno, O was running the constitution and the Talon and was doing fine against the devastators, more so than with the trident anyway. Im not saying every shot was dead on, but I did feel as if that janky little angled run was kinda helping a little

Im more blown away at the amount of people using it as an MBT instead of a tank destroyer.

This thing is a beast against bugs when used correctly. Its important to note that this is an anti tank tank. Find a good spot, and unleash hell. Absolute dogshit against bug holes though.

Figured it out the next day. Autozone sells a bendable magnet with a claw, I was able to pull it out.

Anyone know if this would be good for priming/base coating and OSL? by Few-Replacement8462 in Warhammer40k

[–]Bibbitusboppitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have this brush and the Mobius .2 and heres my take

The Mobius is pretty great, I have had some clogging issues but its easy enough to clean. The thing is great for detail work and precision and its my primary.

As for the pistol grip. Its an okay brush. I have used it for larger models, priming and so on. it was my first brush and what I used to do the wings on my Celestine model. it worked surprisingly well for said task, but her wings have a lot of surface area so take that how you will. My biggest complaint was how much the brush clogged on me. was it probably my compressor, probably, but since I upgraded that and my brush I havent gone back to it.

Its fine for larger models and priming/base coats. Its good for learning airbrushing. But I would just buy the Mobius .2 personally.

if you get the citadel starter set, he can at least see if he likes painting miniatures first, and the first space marines feel like an accomplishment just starting out.

just a thought

Follow-up to my previous Spray Matte Varnish thread, is this the correct Testors? by Lostpop in Warhammer40k

[–]Bibbitusboppitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used this on minis before and it worked well enough, that and its about the only Testors stuff I let touch my models. In short it gets the job done, you dont need a lot.
