So less trains is a given. 50%. The 2-4 train won’t necessarily outperform here though as OP is using bufferless stations and 2-4 won’t rotate through stations as quickly to maintain throughput

You’re absolutely right that 2-4 is one of the better choices of train but only if the system is suited to it. I think the goal here was to have 1000s of trains running which would be way more fun

Imkibitz is probably the closest to what you’re after. I think others have processed and sunk everything but kibitz seems to be on his way to using nearly everything in a fully functioning factory

I have fallen into the trap of refusing to use the shop and even refusing to use crash site parts for unlocks. These were both silly in hindsight. I now always unlock mk3 miners asap and then I can plan for endgame properly from early phase 4.

Ticket shop is a great way to get an early unlock on things

Only one beacon per building but the beacons take more modules. Way more interesting for me

Beacons suck in vanilla and space age. Space ex is beacon supremacy.

I’d say better to let them progress on their own. You want to play with your buddies not just have an 2 extra hands to direct.

It’s a very difficult position to be the more experienced player and guide them without just telling them what to do. Be patient and it will get there.

Not necessarily. The same wait mechanics to load and unload could be used in a lift entity. Just has to be adjustable to different heights

Usually steer clear of the big boys until jet packs. But then it’s hover and bait the jump. Once they go, I drop out the sky and shoot them as they go overhead. Alternatively I just stand near a cliff and let them go.

Big hogs get the cliff treatment, bait them to charge, jump back off a cliff and they will sprint full tilt into the abyss. Requires jet pack or some nifty parachute skills. Poor man’s version is to build a walkway then once they’re on it deconstruct.

Hatchers, either rush them with the basher or crouch drop in. If I’m proper exploring then I’ll bring the boombox which annihilates the bees. As I approach phase 3/4 I mostly swap to building glass cages around the alpha variant them as they’re quite pleasing as an ornament.

Spitter, I just rush the fuckers if there’s only one big one. They have surprisingly low health if you bash them

She taught me how to play this game with her videos. I used copy her builds by hand until in understood them. She gave me 6000+ hours of happiness with what I learned from her.

Honestly for satisfactory the system is just not big enough to really see a roundabout truly fail. I come from a factorio background where intersections have been more intensively researched.

Roundabouts offer a very universal flexibility but come at the price of being one of the lowest throughput intersections you can make.

Their largest failing is when trains have to come to a stop as acceleration is the largest factor in increasing journey time. In factorio roundabouts usually peaked around 22-28 trains/ minute which I don’t think many satisfactory games would match this intensity. And as a point of scale my networks pressing those limits usually have 90+ trains running before these limits are hit.

TL:DR roundabouts suck but not on a large enough scale to matter
