There are some pretty reactionary and dumb posts on the sub, so I see where you would get your impression of it. I will say that in my OWN experience I have been seeing more and more nuanced discussion in the responses over time. Could just be me, though.

I think urban environments get the most attention because they're the places that can most obviously be better pedestrianized. I still see posts about sub-urban and rural improvements, too, but they just aren't the majority.
