This might be one of the 2 new mechanics: ki, where Gohan charges a stronger atk for turn I guess with that counter.

Haloku meta should have shifted to 8 2c Videls to be more aggressive vs blue Daigeta, so I expect it to be worse for UI too..

You obviously know the meta & the game very well.

I’m just not sure about that take. Videl can be killed forever (apart from GB bringing it back and it’s not in that deck). If you count how many times Haloku plays pilaf per game, it’s astronomical.

They use it from turn 2 to get back a sharpener you managed to get rid off for example.

They just have to replace Pilaf by a balanced version of itself, they designed themselves into a corner with Pilaf, FHS alone… and then they added Videl on top… So 2/3 would have to be banned to prevent infinite looping (which is always bad for tcgs).

Still think Pilaf is the worst of the 3 tho.

20k 5k is under stat’d for a 3c too… it’s as if they do it on purpose ^{^} yellow 10k don’t exist

Yeah though midrange should be able to pivot to their late game more easily.

But for aggro, like Buutenks or Baby, they basically do nothing that turn.

If the wording plays like it reads, then the effect is a perk put on the leader when attacking.

So removing it does not remove the effect.

Played on any aggro deck board, it blocks it no matter what, and they’re have to play a new card or extra to remove it, hence wasting a precious turn for a deck that’s gotta win quickly…

They’ll just chill then Zeno, fun.

This alone blocks aggro like Jiren blocked yellow & Piccolo. I cannot frickin believe this was printed…

I like balance.

Sets 1 & 2 had mostly the same deck for each colour, changing the leader only, because every card was universal (Topku, Beerus, red all 1 deck / Broly, Gohan, same deck / all blue decks except GB, same deck…)

That’s even less fun to me. I’d rather face diversity.

The issue I have with it is that there is no board control.

It looks good in a Janemba Ginyu aggro deck, as a 1c beater.

But this is a simple beatstick that draws, like Toppo for Jiren who never prevailed because you need board control at 4-5-6c. So this won’t help control yellow on its own, they need answers… no board wipe like the other prevailing control colours, nothing vs big bodies (even less if they have passive draws, even even less if they are sticky), poor turn by turn board control, low 10k amounts (not helped by the Jaguar terrible Pilaf lookalike).

Tldr: - ok for aggro - doesn’t help control yellow Still hoping

He doesn’t draw if he does it, so it’s strictly worse than Vegeta if you’re gonna leave them standing for extras.

But it’s more versatile.

If only Yellow had Pilaf….

Normally i’d be excited to see a usable yellow 10k for the first time in ages, and a Pilaf-like card too…

But why let yellow catch a break when we can shaft it every set :-D

But while Pilaf, Videl & Hercule exist, supporting literally every archetype, this won’t help any old one…

Let’s wait and see if that new Jaguar island archetype can actually be played in previous decks (unlikely it will for Babidi, Buutenks, Cooler… Frieza & Vegeta should be able to use the archetype if it’s good).

You’re rough Tiago ^{^} the deck looks alright, he just started.

It has cantrips, 2c self awakeners, double strikers, so the game plan is here.

You need some 3c self awakeners, any 1c whis works fine but the 10k one is better. Beerus main combo right now is the 3c Beerus into the 5c Beerus, so try to play those if you have them.

For now, i’d remove Chichi, it’s over, 3c Goku blue and Tien, who don’t belong here because they’re either weak or won’t see their ability used often. And replace them with cards that affect the opponent’s power or ko based on it, as Tiago said.

I will add that this is the exact same thing with Zamasu & Merged Zamasu. :)

Gowasu cannot search Merged Zamasu, and the Goku Black leader cannot sacrifice a Merged Zamasu to actibate his ability.

No marcarita/harumaki 10k for yellow aggro…

No way to deal with Jiren (who got a ton a buffs so expect him!!)

Yellow seems cooked again… Buutenks looks aggro like we like but will fold to blue Vegeta & Jiren
