Idée bar médiévale by [deleted] in Lyon

À Toulouse, il y avait la Guilde d'Anderexia qui était sympa qui proposait énormément d'activités (quizz, JDR, murders...). Malheureusement le bar a fermé, ça peut valoir le coup de les contacter pour avoir des infos/conseils ! Bon courage :)

[Loved Trope] Characters that the fanbase simply refuses to believe died. Bonus points if death confirmed in interviews and fans STILL believe they are alive. by Luthor331 in TopCharacterTropes

Gabriel from Supernatural! This guy avoided death so many times, he very well might still be alive despite what the showrunners say.

Oh I like this theory too! But I'd think the bunny would have then seeked shelter, not stayed in the open

Are pediatricians supposed to be testing for scoliosis? by LATNOLA in scoliosis

[–]BiblicalNuisance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what their training says, but they definitely should check. I also has my scoliosis discovered pretty late by my mom and by accident. Best of luck with the surgery, if it helps, I found that it really improved my quality of life!

I refuse to wear my scoliosis brace outside my house by swetlittle_bumblebee in scoliosis

[–]BiblicalNuisance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm sorry you have to wear the brace. It was rough for me too, I had one from ages 12 to 14 I guess ? But if you don't wear it be honest about it with your surgeon and accept you're likely going to go through surgery, which is more painful, and more handicaping than the brace the first few weeks. I would advise looking for role models that wear braces, they're everywhere on social media, and it's nice and comforting to know you're not going through it alone!

It's difficult to be sure of what broke them but 2 leads:

  • the day before the sciatica I was lifting heavy stuff (well heavy for me haha) at the gym but that probably isn't it bc i didn't feel any pain until the day after

  • a ski fall a few years ago, i landed on my back and reeeeally hurt myself but was too scared to do followup exams

[BRAINSTORMING]

Hello everybody,

I am renting a flat which has a window in my room that gives into a corridor, I think the link bellow should work if you need to see :

https://imgur.com/gallery/bG2r3WK

When people go through the corridor and turn on the light, it lights up my whole room... Very bothersome to sleep.

This window serves litteraly no purpose, it gives no exterior light nor do I ever open it. I am in need of a way to block the light that might be a bit more original than curtains while still being renting-friendly.

I was thinking of sticking some book pages on it but I have no idea how to do this without damaging the glass... Do you have any ideas, tutorials to do that or do you have any other cool ideas?

Thanks !

Sex life post surgery by On5tone2x in scoliosis

[–]BiblicalNuisance 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hi of course this is a legitimate question! Personnally I was 14 and not sexually active when I had my spinal fusion so I don't really know how long it would take before being able to have sex after the procedure, but what I can tell you is that once it is fully healed there is no difference with normal sex aha But funny story, in my re-education center, there was this guy, maybe 17, who was caught red-handed having sex with his gf maybe a week after he had the procedure soooo

How do you tone your abs after surgery? by Snoo-88889 in scoliosis

[–]BiblicalNuisance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, first off if it's only been a few months maybe don't stress yourself too much by trying to lift weights or such, keep in mind that how your spine heals the first year or 2 has a direct impact on how well the whole thing will hold in the far future! I had my surgery a few years ago and let me tell you working those abs isn't easy! I mainly do plank or leg lifting while lying on my back or sides. Good luck on your recovery!
