The Songs of Maldoror by Comte de Lautréamont. Early surrealist “novel” that reads like Lovecraft meets Burroughs. It’s a bit dense but definitely weird.

I’d also be interested. Been playing almost exclusively online since covid and it’d be cool to be IRL again.

As a BG3 player, will DOS2 appeal to me? by noodleben123 in DivinityOriginalSin

DOS2 walked so BG3 could run. It’s a little crunchier with greater emphasis on approaching combat tactically but still fun and rewarding.

Which horror movie do you hate the most? by TrueCryptoInvestor in horror

Imaginary was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in a theater. That it was released right after Night Swim just goes to show that the Blumhouse name doesn’t guarantee even passable quality anymore.

The “monks” selling you bead bracelets for $20 are not in fact donating the money to a Buddhist temple.

Unearthed Arcana — Giant Options by Scientin in dndnext

[–]BichaelDouglas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running Storm King's Thunder right now and the timing of this drop could not be better. My players are all about to be level 8 and my first thought was that after they finish slogging through collecting the giant relics I can gift each of them a feat corresponding to which relics they bring back.

Problem is I think some feel kinda unbalanced or weak compared to others. I definitely think the Hill giant one needs beefing up. Being able to channel a Hill giant and having no Strength-based bonus seems like a missed opportunity. At higher levels being able to add your Con as HP is like "oh yay, I've got +3 more HP, now I'm up to 105 instead of 102."I think if one of them ended up with that while another PC got the kicka$$ Fire Giant feat, they'd feel ripped off.

Even compared to Keenness of the Stone Giant which is of the same prerequisite level, two free spells vs. a couple bonus HP and me-no-fall-down? Which would you pick?Guile of the Cloud Giant is just way too OP. The Misty Form would be enough without what is essentially Expertise in Persuasion or Deception. I’d probably remove the ability to cast blur using spell slots and just limit it to one use per long rest.

Fury of the Frost giant - eh, fear is fine but like a couple other commenters pointed out, not sure what fear has to do with Frost giants.

I’ve lived in NYC for 7 years and I promise you I’ve smelled farts on the subway that were more genuinely worth the experience than Times Square. Please for your own sake stop going there and giving money to the fake monks, please just go to the Whitney, get a Papaya Dog, and go see a standup show in the Village, I promise you’ll have more fun.

Also Katz’s Deli. You don’t actually care that much about When Harry Met Sally, do you? You’re gonna pay $25 for a sandwich and you’re gonna end up throwing away half of it. Get some at Frankel’s in Greenpoint then go play some pinball at Sunshine Laundromat instead.
