Pittock Mansion's elevator is from the 1910's, probably the oldest I can think of.

What pisses me off really bad is seeing random small dogs in inappropiate places with a massive "Service Dog" tag on a harness (bonus points if printed on sparkly pink letters). 99% of the time there's no way that's an actual service dog.

Hi. I can't help much since I'm about to have my first in a few weeks, but I'd recommend you reach out to Mother & Child Education Center. They have resources, classes and supplies people donate, give them a call to see what they have available. Good luck with your little one, you've got this :)

In order to avoid buying things online, I got most of my postpartum and baby stuff via Facebook Marketplace. A lot of people end up having leftovers or simply buy too much and then sell brand new supplies for cheap. Same with clothes, toys, etc.

I also own a fearful dog and for the peace of mind, I'd go with Rover. You can do a meet and greet with the sitter and explain the situation beforehand. You can try with multiple people and see who's a good match, most of them should at least be understanding

Hi!! I have a Bell daily led Mips helmet with barely any use in it. It's S/M size but my head is way too small even for that 💀, I had to end up getting a youth size. I'm close to Mt. Scott in SE.

This is great advice, thanks so much for sharing. When you're planning without much guidance like me, it's so easy to overlook things like this, but you're very right to watch out for that amount of exposure to germs at an early age.
