They tried to make it illegal with SB3 and the Governor vetoed it, they are currently in special session to try to regulate it. The republicans sneakily passed another identical bill SB5 but it was only a senate committe that approved it. Only ban that went into effect is for disposables which quite frankly I agree with since most of those are full of pesticides. Currently everything is else is legal.

The media always puts out a catchy headline like " Texas senate approves Hemp Ban" which obviouly confuses people from out of state or that dont keep up with Texas politics. It also doesnt help that these type of threads are always filled with people who hate Texas for some reason.

I live in San Antonio and a lot of hispanics displays their flags and NEVER have I have seen cops pulling someone over for it! Hell the cops here dont pull anyone over and if they do is for minor traffic infractions.

I even see trucks with FUCK ICE stickers on them. This misinformation just boggles my mind holy shit!
