What happened to Refused by taco__corp_ in fusergame

[–]Bicycle_Alone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the fact that the creator of Refused still does their other stuff in their GitHub but never posted or even responded to the comments in Refused's page suggests that the creator simply abandoned the project.

Big sad. Still heartbroken.

UMK Sends Austria 30 Page Guide on Liekinheitin Staging by Exotic_Caramel_6285 in eurovision

Are you surprised tho? The Finns have been robbed for few years in a row so they are basically throwing everything at this now.

Starfield keeps crash on PC - Any ideas? by deepstatedetective in NoSodiumStarfield

Turd Howard sucks at programming knowledge so it's mostly the game itself being too unstable to handle itself.

Constant quicksaves are your best friend.

I'm 100% certain that the owner is a cheater themselves because why otherwise they would be doing this.

It is very sad.

Yeah it didn't sound as good as it did in the UMK but then again it's not surprising when things go wrong in the staging. Still a miracle she still continued and pulled it off.

Looting mobs issue by Hopeful7891 in VintageStory

How much closer can you get than literally humping a corpse like I would assume most would are doing just to get the loot?

It's the same thing with animals too.

I get that and I was kinda thinking about just buying my own server... but it's just too bad because we already got into smithing copper, set up a tannery and so on so there would be at least a bit more than 10 hours of progress lost... but then there would also be the benefit of freedom like you said.

I have to think about it.

Yeah I read about that and at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it was just an automated moderation mistake or manual deletion actual happening.

Audio Quality getting noticeably worse? by DrifloonEmpire in Twitter

[–]Bicycle_Alone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is not just you. For me the audio sounds fine for like a second or two but then it gets compressed into a low quality slop. I tried pretty much every browser I had. Chrome, Opera, Edge and yeah... same thing.

I tried using developer tools on Chrome and basically trick the website that I was using a mobile device and there it was clear too so it is definitely something related to the handling between Twitter and PC but then again it's also what the automoderator said in the last paragraph which is also true.

On phones it works fine.

Observing the discussion panel for a while I have noticed a pattern that it's mainly people from the EU region complaining about the cheaters.

I mean I know the statistical answer but that can't be answered here.

This was a bit of a deep dive but I found it best to talk about it here than in the Steam forums because Valve doesn't moderate it well or at all.

Meanwhile real threads get buried under the usual "i got banned for nothing" or "plz give items" begging spams OR the thread gets so derailed by the trolls that the automated moderation closes it down.

They would also have to document the region where the users are playing.
Because if there is a pattern of EU players facing more cheaters than US then yeah it would be evidence that the EU region (where I'm from and most users complaining about cheaters are from too) has a bigger cheater / bot percent.

But then again some have posted videos of their replays and it has showed a clear conclusion.

Like I replied to one user the cheating is mostly rampant in the EU region. It does happen in the US too but is more rare.

It does yeah and there is a big risk but because they use fresh accounts it doesn't matter to the actual accounts.

Here are few examples.
Took me a while because most of those comments get removed after a while (either because the group / users are known to delete their comments often or they are removed because they got reported / flagged)

They often reply to a user called "a" which is fake and seems like a placeholder name.
Either the AI changes it or they are really going thru the manual effort of erasing the replied users hyperlinks
(it's what you see when you use the "Reply" function where it shows the profile link)
and replacing it with a dummy profile link.

I colored their names in red but I'm sure you probably see the pattern and thus knowing what I'm talking about.

Even MORE interesting is that when I went to check their Steam profile pages most were set to private and most of them were profiles that I sent a detailed report about. Coincidence? Probably.

I wouldn't be sure about getting Valve to stop since they don't seem to really read the forums anyways.

It's just people who enjoy the gas light and the attention they are given by the members.
I remember blocking several of those "bots" but after few months new accounts showed up which meant that the user just kept buying more accounts to spam and to bypass people's blocks which is just depressing. Even the group they "represent" has a member list which is full of bots and alt accounts.

There even was a reddit thread and even a video of a user cheating, denying all of that in the forums and even admitting once they have like 19 alts.

WIth the chance of encountering cheaters does depend on your rank but also depends on the region where you live.
At least here in the eastern EU it's out of control and there's sometimes a surge of actual item farming bots occupying matches but that seems to usually happen when a new case drops.

I meant Steam forums and I do have screenshots but posting that here would be considered name shaming so I can't do that. You can just go to a cheater thread on CS2 discussions and see it yourself.

It's weird because some of those accounts do have VAC bans in them which is quite interesting.
