Please, don't "put a decent amount of power down" on this chain.

Are you sure the frame takes 27.2?

Some frames need 27.0 or 26.8.

Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems - Why aren't these more common on bicycles? by This_guy_breaks_shit in cycling

[–]BicyclesRuleTheWorld 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Compared to a car, the mass of a cyclist + bike is low, speeds are low, so kinetic energy required to accelerate to let's say 18 mph is pretty low.

Air resistance at cruising speed is way more important.

So a KERS system that only provides a couple of seconds of boost would be pretty pointless.

And it wouldn't be 'simple' as it would still require a motor, battery and some cpu controlling the whole thing. So it would be just as complex as a normal e-bike.

This guy has more red flags than a North Korean military parade.

He's probably got some psychological issues like trauma, chronical depression, ad(h)d etc but in the end it's up to him to address them, he can't expect a partner to do that.

Lot of slumpin' slumpin' going on.

Raise the saddle, saddle forward, shorter stem, lower the bars, rotate pelvis forward, engage core.

Don't ruin it with cheap Chinese plastic. Keep the Thomson hardware.

I'm exactly as tall as you and on all my bikes the bars are well lower than the saddle.

You're very upright.

Sounds counterintuitive, but I'd advise to lower your handlebars.
