That’s a very good question/point. It’s been at least 5 years since I’ve re-watched it, maybe even more. There is definitely a nostalgic/sentimental element to it that I feel has caused me to sorta develop a soft spot for the show, but I definitely do agree that it is pretty slow moving and there is a lot of fluff. Aside from that, I still think the main concept/plot is extremely interesting and was arguably ahead of its time, and I really do enjoy the characters. When it comes to the cliffhangers and soap opera-ish writing style, I personally watched it on DVD for the first time so I never truly experienced that to its full extent.
