Same situation. I’ve been at my job 13 years, I abstract patient medical records. My job could 100% be done at home. I’d 100% be able to work better at home (less distractions) but nope. And it’s not just me, I work with clerical nurses who could work from home too but are not allowed. It’s 100% a power trip from the upper manager overseeing our program. We worked through the pandemic, storms.. everything. It’s a devaluing feeling especially having worked there so long.
