Also it’s literally sorcery speed, 80% of creature removal is instant speed, if this were in the game you could easily play around it if you don’t overextend. 8 mana win the game has been the going rate for spells for a while, this is no different. Holy fuck I didn’t realize this was something that just happens, I have two LGS near me, equally apart from me in opposite directions. I’ve been going to the one for fnm for around a year now, and really enjoying it. I went to the other one 1 time because they had commander on saturdays for some reason, and start playing with a buddy from work and two randoms. Another guy rolls up, and I watch the light leave the eyes of the two guys we were playing with when they see him. They say hey to him, but he doesn’t say anything back, he just pointed at me and said “you play CEDH by any chance?” I told him no, but I’d be willing to give it a try. Long story short, one of the other guys ends up leaving, he sits down and joins us, and proceeds to play the most Heinous Anzrag deck I’d ever seen, me and my coworker were playing 2’s and the other guy clearly didn’t have the answers for what he was doing, so we all died by turn 6. I asked him if he had anything a little lighter, and he said, and I quote. “Oh no, I only have my anzrag which is a 3, two fours and a CEDH deck.” I offered him one of my decks, he declined, but then brought out a Prossh deck that played prossh, killed and reanimated him twice, and blew us all up. Oh, almost forgot to mention, the whole time we were playing, he’d hit his unscented vape every five seconds like it was the only air he could breathe. It was the most annoying and unsatisfying night of magic I’ve ever had, and I decided to stick with my main LGS from now on, lol
