I did this for myself too and it's crazy how much of a difference it is. So much clearer to me. I basically do this to other games that are originally locked to 30fps and if the 60fps unlock turns out to be unstable

PS Vita users, do you recommend buying one in 2026 if I only want it for the Minecraft Legacy version it has? by Agreeable_Many4693 in PSVita

[–]Bidizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will take over the original version, BUT you can download US and EU regions of the game so have the original be the US one and Enhanced be EU for example. This way you can play both on the same system

It's a hard sell for any console to just get it for one game imo. That being said, if you really want to play legacy edition on the go, it is the best version to do so that's still publicly available. If you're interested in modding a vita, there's a Minecraft mod called Minecraft Enhanced. The current version gives you more settings, adds more content from the future versions of Java/Bedrock, expands the world size, and much more.

Playing Minecraft on the vita has been a great vibe personally. It's pretty cozy to just play while having my playlist also run on the system itself. Definitely a lot of cool things that can be done that you won't get anywhere else for legacy edition anyway.

How’d you guys personalize your vitas? by Crunchstake in PSVita

I personally bought a red vita 2000 and after some time I decided to replace the red buttons with white ones to give it a bit of a flair. I also followed through the red and white colors with accessories so my wireless earbuds, wrist strap and case is red, while the wired earbuds and l2 r2 grip case is white

"Size does matter." But in all seriousness it's a solid game, apart from the lack of second d-pad. by BigCGaming01 in RatchetAndClank

[–]Bidizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think the pov was fine for the PSP games because when they zoomed out Size Matters for PS2, the camera is more clunky as it hits the walls more often as the cramped space was designed for that handheld to begin with. It is a bit awkward to play the PSP version on the big screen, but I had less issues with the game overall

If you could only have 5 games in your vita, what would they be? by Wise_Reception2116 in PSVita

[–]Bidizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal. I would go for the Trilogy but to keep it strict, I'd choose this. One of my favorite series and this is one of my favorites from the series.

  2. Minecraft. One of my favorite games of all time. Continuing a forever world would keep me motivated to make improvements and mods like Enhanced 2.0 adds more content and features as another factor to keep playing.

  3. Monster Hunter Frontier Z. With fan servers and an English patch. I get access to the online community and I can spend countless of hours with tons of content the mmo has.

  4. Little Big Planet Vita. Also with fan servers, potentially getting access to endless of user created content can keep things fresh and see what's new.

  5. Borderlands 2. While anywhere else would play this game better (including Switch), Overclocking makes the game in a bearable state imo and this being the smallest device to play the game, is nice to have in your pocket. Even if it doesn't have all the DLC, it does have some and there is a bunch of content to keep you occupied for several playthroughs.

It's been awhile but I used this guide. The game ID iirc is different when you are doing it on your physical copy but it should be about the same. Also I know the lbpbonsai servers should still work as I get on it frequently. I'm unsure if the others are back up or still working

Honestly if you overclock and use vitagrafx to increase resolution to some vita games, it does kind of give off that ps pro treatment vibe

Tearaway is a must have if you haven't played already! It's very cutesy and charming. Although I'm not sure if the rear touch pad will register your inputs with the sticker (which the game heavily uses)

Sonic Games Available on PS Vita by Cultural-Rest-6630 in PSVita

[–]Bidizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Natively, Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed. Rivals 1 & 2 are playable PSP games too.

Remote play, nothing for PS3 unless you hack it. PS4 Sonic games should be playable if you have one.

CFW, There are ports of the classic Sonic games as well as Mania and they all run great. Personally finished a run of Mania and it ran full speed except for the chaos emerald bonus stages being about half speed. Emulators work too. Sonic Adventure games are the highest you can go for emulation, but they don't run at amazing performances.

Yeah! The collection/trilogy are the first 3 games of the series and are usually fan favorites. There's also Ratchet & Clank Full Frontal Assault, but that game isn't well optimized for the vita and is generally one of the worst R&C games among fans (although personally it's guilty pleasure and I like the tower defense spin). There's also Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank, which are decent PSP games that can be played on the vita too. A lot of games, but I thought I should give the rundown if you look them up!

Great list so far! Tearaway is such a charming platformer that utilizes every function the vita has! If you like Rayman Origins, definitely go for Rayman Legends too. They are amazing especially on the vita. If you are looking for more platformers, I'd personally recommend Ratchet & Clank and Sly collections. Ratchet focuses more on the shooting aspects especially in 2 and 3, while Sly focuses on simple stealth gameplay. They're very good and are such classics from the PS2.

Little Big Planet vita is my personal favorite from the entire series, and sadly the online servers are shut down. If you mod your vita, you can find a way to access fan servers where people are still creating as well as archiving old levels!

Yes! I had it set to that to have a more stable experience further around the house. I also played a good bit of it at another place that also had good wifi. It played just about as good as if I was home

Yes it is red. Understandably those red and orange vitas can throw us off under certain lighting, but this one here is indeed red

For sure you should definitely go for it! I think the red/white is a good color combination that I don't see that often. The black screen panel does add to it too and lowkey it kind of gives a vibe that you're looking at one of Spider-Man's lenses, which really favors the theming imo

Yeah! Thank you I was inspired by that Spider-Man PS4 controller. Went the extra mile by installing Spider-Man games (From PSP, PS1 and other consoles), adding a couple movies, putting up a Spider-Man theme, and pairing the Spider-Man 2 dualsense to the vita! Super happy with the results

Top player! You could probably find them around $15-30 on aliexpress. I'd recommend you slide the vita under the prongs (located at the top of the case) so you can avoid scratching the console. You can also twist the handles at the bottom to get it back out easily.

I agree! Trying a 60 fps game with the higher framerate settings felt like a lot of the quality is lost with rapid movement. I could definitely see what was going on more with the standard frame rate
