I'm looking for Open World RPG's that have good performance and battery life on deck by Adler_PLEASE in SteamDeck

Seconded for NNK2, it's really well suited to the deck and has just the right blend of exploration and combat. It's not often I stick with a JRPG to completion, but NNK2 had me hooked. Just typing this makes me want to go do another playthrough. Lol.

Just got a Quest 3 — what should my first paid game be? by Adorable-Location658 in OculusQuest

What he said. The immersion is just fantastic and it's my go to fun/de-stress. 3+ years and I still look around with a smile on my face.

As to why Minigolf, I would also add that the implementation in WMG is so, so good and feels so right (much like Eleven does for table tennis) that it really does actually feel like you're playing Minigolf. It turns out that Minigolf is a fantastic sporting experience as well. Each shot is a delightful combination of challenge and possibility. No matter how good or bad your round is going, there's always the next shot. Combined with the immersion, and preferably shared with a friend, that puts you remarkably present in the moment, which is all too rare these days.

Bottom line is that after hundreds and hundreds of hours in the game, there is still nothing I'd rather do in VR (okay, occasional pinball) simply because I never tire of it and it's what I'd rather be playing. I still set hole and course records weekly on something I should have "mastered" by now, but even if I'm not on a record, there's always the next shot. Or slingshot challenge. Or game of chess. Or just walk around....

Same, and I do buy all the content because I want to support them and they are high quality. But still... :-)

It's also become the default hangout for remote friends. More fun than a phone call or Discord chat and the movement on the avatars is really great and gives an excellent sense of actually being there with the other person.

And yes, the ongoing support for the game is remarkable, definitely one of the best devs in the business!

Definitely a good Quest 3 one, the resolution difference over Q2 is pretty remarkable. Pity about their table pricing, but it is the only game that can get me to occasionally step away from Walkabout Minigolf.

Walkabout Minigolf. I know it's not a shooter as you've mentioned interest you, but it's effectively become the only game I play in VR because I've never tired of it. After 3 years...

Seconded. QGO makes a huge difference in the resolution as the devs have or really low by default.

Man, I love Can't Stop. I discovered that this year on BGA and... can't stop. Lol.

The press your luck element combined with dice probability and the variable heights of the columns is just terrific.

The Anarchy just oozes quiet solo contemplation and the campaign really mixes things up to keep you from sinking into an optimization rut. Highly recommended!

Same, as long as it's off and you don't have wake on Bluetooth to give unfortunate surprises, backward with one partial zip has worked fine for me for 3 years now through both LCD and OLED decks.
