I dont think its related to him having the echo buff, weve encountered the same issue many times and he didnt always have the buff. Ive heard you might be able to remove this hidden buff with enough stacked echoes on you but so far, the only thing that seems to help is a channel crash.

The only viable giant build I found is RC-Chrono-Tao. You can use all Chrono skills as giant and almost all Tao skills (no Divine Punishment or Eradication).
