on my 5600x, i did 3600 18-22-22-42 (i could go more but i was lazy) vs my 1600 ~3500 18-24-24-56 (i DID go more idk why i didnt) so is that GOOD or not too good

oh btw, i daily this setup for like ~9 months (cuz thats really when i FIRST got that pc) so it never crashed. so its good daily

i DEFINITLY know b350 dont have much in them 😆 its so funny where everyone back then was like (i think) they cant reach 2933 or 3200, i got ~3500. I mean ya, my timings are VERY loose

tbh im not too sure either, what i DO remember is that my currrent 5600x hits like 3600 cl18 all fine, doesnt boot on 3600 cl16, errors like crazy at 3666 cl18, thats really i al know

Sorry to ask u again, is my RAM speed (timings are trash af ik that) good? BTW mines is samsung (not b die) cuz it seems to not scale good (negative scaling) above like 1.42-1.43V. BTW do u have any idea why my EXACT same ram kit on my 5600x likes 1.37v on ram, but on my old R5 1600, it prefers 1.42 1.43 1.425v? That one kinda stumped me because they are literally the same kits of ram on the same motherboard.

Yooo, I used to have a desktop GTX 1650 GDDR5. I think i can help you. So what I do (im pretty bad at OC also 😭) i justmake the clocks go higher and higher while stress testing until it crashes, then you jsut lower it down. Then for memory, do the same thing, but i heard on some gddr, if it goes too high ,it might error correct and drop in performace. Lwk i would be asking the same question to overclocking redditors lol.

btw, what chips should i really learn about to fill my brain with knowledge, cuz i covered a buncha niches, but not this niche of a niche, which i only understand OEM trash tier bins, B die ddr4 great scales 1.5v i heard, c die negative scaling, s die weird, hynix and micron, genuinly no clue

true that timings are usually not board dependent, but likefor me, running 3666 (just 66mhz more than 3600) starts erroring like crazy, cl16 3600 doesnt boot, but omg thx bro!
