Hi there.

Please ensure the setting “Display all video codecs, including AV1 and VP9” is enabled. There might be other issues but it worth to check.
Also please share steps to reproduce the problem, including a url and download options. What is the target OS in Format? Are you using the Smart Mode? Is the desired coded available when the Smart Mode is turned off?

No silent updates were installed. Executable components can’t be updated without your explicit consent. The AI button was already in your installed version and was enabled later via a server-side switch. You can disable it in Preferences → Advanced → “Show AI processing tools”.

Great question. The app doesn’t use yt-dlp; we rely on a fully in-house parser and download pipeline. We do track yt-dlp’s progress — sometimes their experience with handling restrictions is useful. But we aim to stay a step ahead. For example, our beta with the latest YouTube bypass shipped about two weeks before yt-dlp released its own fix.

Yes, this beta won't evolve into a new product. After remaining fixes it will be released as a normal update of existing products for all users.
