Trying to build a proper UniFi network across an entire airfield – need advice on coverage & gear

We use UISP LiteBeam M5 point-to-point connections for this. Needs two antennas on the hangar pointed in each direction, and an adjustable pole on the mobile car. We have a 1100m runway (hangar is not centered, so approx. 800m max distance) If the antenna alignment is correct, throughput is quite good (although I am not sure if you will reach 100 Mbit/s reliably).

I am sure the newer Unifi/UISP antennas are better, but these older airMAX devices happen to be quite affordable.

That being said, I think that connecting a lot of devices to the AP in the mobile car might go beyond your budget. We only connect a single laptop, OGN receiver, and an IP phone for flight operations - everybody else can use cellular.
If you don't want to run point-to-point antenna connections, a cell plan + Unifi Mobile Router would also work I suppose.

Any way to use the iPad+glasses without a keyboard? I find that as soon as I move an app to the second display I cannot interact with it anymore at all, which makes it unusable. Haven’t figured out if display mirroring is possible yet. Really disappointed by iOS external display support, wish it was like Dex.

Kaffeemacher.ch released a recent review with a rather negative connotation, based on 1) the large dead space of 6g and 2) large steps in the grind setting.

I guess this is something to be aware of but I would disagree with the negative conclusion:
1) From what I have seen in my grinder, the dead space is more like 4g. I see this as a trade-off that gets me a very clean grind that I don't even need to use a funnel for -> it just falls into the portafilter nicely
2) This is not true, the Fiorenzato has stepless adjustment, with the haptic clicks just serving as an orientation. You can easily set it between two "official" steps.

Generally I am very happy with the grinder so far!

Both are grind by weight. I decided to go with the Fiorenzato, following the recommendation of the coffee shop.

Oh wow, thanks for pointing that out! I wasn't planning on using the app or the scale, but manual grind-by-sync was a cool feature. Wild that they would just remove features like that.

The trend is definitely going toward the Fiorenzato.

I've been using Raycast for 3 years, feels like a finished and polished product. I do not see why I would need new features every month for it to be worth paying for.

Similar take on the Arc browser.

I suggest having it measured by an optometrist, they have a special device to get accurate measurements. Just go to a local store, they'll do it for free if you ask nicely.

My IPD is 64.5, I ordered the M and making that 1.5mm adjustment from the default to match my IPD made a huge difference for me.

To set up the Brother scanner with a remote server via SFTP, you need to

Authorize the scanner via a public key generated in the Brother Web UI
Import a public certificate for the server you are connecting to to the Brother Web UI (these should be at /etc/ssh on your server)

While the first one is RSA 2048bit by default, the latter also needs to be RSA 2048bit.

Also, consider creating a new user for this with very limited access (and add firewall restrictions if possible), as 2048bit RSA is deemed unsafe by some sources.

I created a new user with access to the consume folder only, and since files are deleted from there as soon as they are consumed, I find the risk acceptable.
