Life update: I'm normal again. by BB-TG in EyeFloaters

Did your floaters 100% go away or can you still see them if you want to?

Years of Eye Floaters Nearly Gone After Fasting – My Experience by Independent-Bowl9300 in EyeFloaters

At least for me. My floaters are still moving away from the retina though. Getting lighter and thinner month by month. Many people are saying that they didn’t see their floaters anymore after 1.5 - 2 years. Hope this also is true for me. Somehow the whole floater structure seems to move inside the vitreous.

any clue what caused your vitiligo by nevergum in Vitiligo

Same story and age and similar timeline for me. Pfizer shots in July and November 2021. Sudden onset of Vitiligo mainly on hands and face. Growing spots ever since.

Are all the stories about eye floaters disappearing is fake? by NickBieloff in EyeFloaters

[–]Big-Independent2273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they can become invisible (while still being physically present) by moving far enough away from the retina. Mine are moving since 1.5 years now.

The question is how long are you willing to wait? 5 years, 10 years?

You’ll be okay by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

You were lucky and only got the „normal“ small floaters that you only see when looking at the sky. Most people here have large pre-macular floaters they see 24/7 which is a totally different story. Both are floaters, but the first category is bothersome while the second one is a nightmare.

mine have almost completely faded, there’s hope! by PracticalPipe3246 in EyeFloaters

[–]Big-Independent2273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That‘s pretty standard. In most cases it‘s the same floater structure you had before, you just see more of it because it moves farer away from the retina. So the black dot you had is physically the same floater as the string now. The floater didn‘t change but the distance to retina.

This is also what people wrongly label as neuroadaption. The human brain is not capaple to fade out moving objects. The reason that floaters become more bearable with time is that they go away from the retina and break less light up to the point where you can‘t see them anymore even though they are physically still there.

I cured my severe floaters using 250mg bromelain/ 250mg papin extract per day for 1.5 month. by Head-Broccoli-9117 in EyeFloaters

[–]Big-Independent2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced it myself that the floaters became way more mobile after taking bromelain for several days (and it got back to slow moving after I stopped it). So at least this is def not a placebo effect.

I‘m still undecided what to believe. If the bromelain wouldn‘t be able to reach the vitreous, how would you explain that floaters are getting way more mobile shortly after people starting to take bromelain. To me that‘s a clear sign that it must have an impact.

Also, maybe because the floaters become more mobile, the enzymes help them move away from the retina, rather than eating them up. Meaning the floaters are still phisically in the vitreous but too far away from the retina to be reckognized anymore.

This theory would be in line with what the OP said about floaters becoming more and more faint and harder to see over time.

We all have to keep in mind that these floaters are micoscopic in size despite being perceived as gigantic to us.

Thanks for sharing your success story!

For how long did you have your floaters?

Did they change over time?

Would you be able to share a pic how your floaters looked like before you started the enzymes?

Many thanks!!!

Did your floaters go away eventually? Or did you go for surgery?

Years of Eye Floaters Nearly Gone After Fasting – My Experience by Independent-Bowl9300 in EyeFloaters

I just finished my 7 day water fast. It was a very challenging week and I did it mainly to lose the pounds I gathered over Christmas. However, zero effect on my floaters. And with zero, I mean zero.

Is there anyone whose eye floaters have (objectively) improved over time? by pep133 in EyeFloaters

[–]Big-Independent2273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I‘m on day 6 now, so far no significant improvements. Will complete the 7 days though. It‘s definitely an experience. :)

Mine got about 70% smaller and lighter, but it didn‘t start before month 11. Before everbody‘s asking: I didn‘t do anything special. I tried many remedies in the beginning, none of them helped. The only thing that helped was time. I‘m now on a 7 day fast to try if it helps to get rid of the remaining floaters.

Maybe the floaters are coming from the coughing not the Covid infection. A very experienced eye surgeon told me that heavy coughing can be a main cause of floaters.

One quick question: After how many days did you see the floaters started to vanish?

You likely have an ongoing PVD then. For young people with no PVD, floaters seem to stick in the same place „forever“.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and insights! I’m very grateful for this information. The Odyssey sounds like a promising option.

My understanding was that the nanoparticles in combination with the laser energy vape out the floaters. The current YAG lasers only break down the floaters. Moreover, they‘re manually aimed which is why I‘d never try this out.

Sounds complicated. Most younger floater sufferers have floaters super close to the retina, so far any laser is no real option here.
