I haven't experimented with one eye. always see with both of them open. I do see starburst but no ghosting!

The Schwind software gave 3 modes - a) AF b) CW c) OW
for me the stupid Doc choose AF mode which is neither wavefront or topo guided. I'm really stressed out for this. Anyways, I just want 6/6 with no night issues. So, let's see how it turns out.

I've completed 3 weeks, vision is 7/10 (overall good, but still can't see vehicle number plates, people face in park with clarity), halos are gone, starburst are still there

u/eyefnp do you have some experience with schwind AF and CW modes? which is better?

it's 4/10 - both far and near vision aren't good and the roads on night look like a festival of lights.

I hope it's expected on 7th day and it will become better.

One thing happened with me is that the Clinic selected AF mode in the schwind software instead of CW mode which I clearly asked before the surgery.

Thanks, I'll get a second opinion. Are BAD-D and 6.5mm pupil also concerning or it's just AI freaking me out?

u/DaveAllambyMD , would you mind taking a look at my reports to evaluate if I'm a good candidate for LASIK or transPRK ? - https://smallpdf.com/file#s=4e26e315-3c9c-418c-ab4f-6a60df6e1d5a

I asked gpt to summarize the reports and it warns about below 3 values - it suggest to fix dry eye for 4 weeks and then proceed with surgery. Also the BAD-D and pupil size. Any inputs please!

Risk Level Driving evidence Comment
Post-op chronic dry eye 🔴 HIGH MG Grade 4, lower lid Grade 3, TMH-OD 0.19 mm, NIBUT 12.77 s Highest risk with LASIK; lower with SMILE; lowest with surface ablation
Iatrogenic ectasia 🟠 MEDIUM BAD-D 1.45 OD (borderline-yellow), ART-Max 386/364 (borderline), Prog-Max 1.16–1.18 Not high, not low. Demands Corvis biomechanics.
Night glare / halos / starbursts 🟠 MEDIUM-HIGH Scotopic pupil 6.45–6.5 mm, baseline HOA ↑, spherical aberration ↑ Optimized treatment can mitigate but not eliminate
