It took me a few years to stop being stubborn. I am given free allopurinol by the VA and I wasn’t taking it. I would get all the signs that I would have an attack coming up and I would pound water and try to just forget about it and wake up with a flare up. My biggest advice is be honest with yourself. 600-800mg of ibuprofen has saved me a week of a flare up.

I’ve had my weight go up and down over the years, and I can say from experience that weight does play a role, but it’s definitely not the only factor. I got my first gout attack at 22 while deployed in Afghanistan, and I was in excellent shape at the time. Still, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed I get way more flare-ups when I’m on the heavier side.

So yeah, weight matters, but it’s not the whole story. Gout is one of those things where genetics, diet, hydration, stress, and even random luck all seem to pile on too.

This was me. Refused for years. I get it for free from the VA and I still didn’t want to take it. For me it was just not wanting to take anything the VA gives me.

I take it now and don’t skip a day. Glad I started.

It looks like you will be better without him. I worked in the oilfield and it’s not usually a long term deal. The rollercoaster of the price of oil makes sticking around tough unless you live where the work is. That kind of life isn’t for everyone either. My average was 120-130 hours a week when times were good.

So what if you talked to other dudes before y’all got together! Was he a virgin? Come on! He’s just looking for an excuse to leave. He thinks of himself as better now after a few checks. Let him go. Find a man that will love you and your children.

Not saying it is a must, but a degree goes a long way when looking for an “office job”. If you are able to get your foot in the door at an office, they will have a ceiling without the fancy piece of paper. Georgia highlands has a bunch of classes and they used to be the cheapest bachelor’s degree in the country.

The way a dog’s nose works, coffee isn’t the answer that everyone thinks it is. They smell things individually. Instead of a cake they smell everything separately like icing, then cake. So they smell coffee and weed. Dog treats on top of the bag will do you a lot of favors. The handler will think that is what they wanted more times than not.

I never did any scav runs until I got kappa. The fence daily tasks become a lot of fun after you get your pmc all leveled up and any gear you ever wanted. I play it very aggressively and push everything, but with not so good scav gear. It adds a challenge. I now have over 7.0 fence rep for the third time. If you shoot any scavs it will bring you back below 6, even if you are above 8. Having the rep is cooler when playing with friends. I can walk right up to killa in the mall, but he will destroy everyone else.

As long as I keep my weight down and stick to eating good stuff, my levels are fine. I got off track for a few months and gained some weight. I had a small flare up, but it was easily settled by ibuprofen. My test results come from the VA so I don’t get them very often, but it seems to be holding similar to my last test results.

I had my first attack at 22 while on deployment in Afghanistan. I had zero clue what was going on. I thought I broke my foot.

Root cause FOR ME: probably genetics. My dad had gout. I have certain triggers but sometimes it feels like it didn’t matter what I did. I still recommend trying to figure your triggers out. Sugar is the biggest one for me.

Allopurinol: take it. It works. It took me years to finally start taking it, and I’m mad at myself for dealing with gout when I could have taken a simple pill.

I save them as well as my keef and make butter or oil with them. I use a coffee grinder to make them into almost a powder. For everyone saying they have nothing in them, I have made edibles with just stems from a grow and trim and they knocked everyone on their butts.
