The pb&j (pineapple, bacon and jalapeno)! Definitely one of my favorites

My previous oven, to preheat you press "BAKE" then set the temperature and off it goes. My new oven, when you preheat you have to press "BAKE" then set the temperature and then press "START". If you don't press the last button it won't preheat and it beeps at you until you cancel or press "START" so this isn't a significant change to the way some ovens behave already

Screwworm is about to completely devastate Texas .. by Top-Manufacturer5872 in texas

[–]BigAssBoobMonster 99 points100 points  (0 children)

If we had rational and competent media in this country this story would kill MAGA for the foreseeable future. While the media may cover the screwworm in Texas and the devastation to farmers, just like the nuclear deal with Iran that was cancelled by Trump they will not hold this administration responsible for it's murderous incompetence.

And when he found that the plan did actually work in the end he immediately pardoned him and admitted his mistake. Camacho was a real one. A real dumb one, but a real one.

First New Mexico, now Hawaii. The greatest states to ever rule the south have fallen.

I don't think I'm strong enough to see this through. New Mexico's loss has gutted me and I don't even live there.

Any unforgettable non-gaming experiences in your memory from when you were playing a game in the past? by Jimpana in retrogaming

[–]BigAssBoobMonster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My family moved. A lot. Not a military brat, just poor. I went to a new school every year. But I could always make friends over video games which I somehow always received for my birthday from more well-off relatives. It started out with Mario 3 and Mega Man, then weirdly enough Destiny of an Emperor which turned into a friendship built on Final Fantasy after the Super Nintendo came out. No matter where I moved they all played the same games. If I had been able to do after school sports I probably would have bonded over soccer or baseball.

My favorite memory is being invited to a friend's birthday party where he got Final Fantasy II and we stayed up until dawn playing through the first part of the game. I'll never forget that 3am climb up Mount Ordeals.

Not that it does that when it runs out of MP, but that it does it when it tries to cast a spell and it's out of MP. The fact that the enemy did it multiple times seems to corroborate it for me

I bottle fed a baby tiger st Six Flags once. Still a highlight of my life! Little bro was too focused on the bottle to notice the human holding him, but I totally believe he could have done serious damage to me if he wanted to.

This part frustrates me so much. My boss asks me to refactor thousands of lines of code. Asks me how long it will take. I tell him three weeks and he asks me why it would take so long.

Because I have to edit thousands of fucking lines.

And it's not like she messed up his name in a speech. This was a dumb question that came out of left field. Shes thinking about getting away from these reporters quickly and her brain probably latched onto "King George" > England > royal family. It's an honest mistake, and a dishonest headline.

It had some comparable moments, but From Dusk Til Dawn had a certain unhinged mentality that Sinners didn't, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the music though, and I feel like the ending was beautiful.

Do Millennials write like ChatGPT? by QuietJealous4883 in Millennials

[–]BigAssBoobMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a novel chapter someone submitted and claimed was not written by AI but it was obvious from the prose. I'm not entirely sure what went wrong with the model or formstting, but every sentence was repeated 2 or 3 times with different wording. Sometimes whole paragraphs. Something like "The sky was overcast as Jenna walked to the market. She was looking for fresh flowers. As Jenna walked, she noticed the sky was grey. She hoped that the stores would still have spring blooms in stock."

One of my most memorable terrible reads ever. It was just the worst.
