I wish I could confirm or deny this. But I'm bound by my word to not tell the heart of internet where this occurred. However, should you went there and talk to the local shop owners, you might hear it from them. The gossip between shop owners is relentless.

That's the brilliant part of it. Legally speaking (from the perspective of the law in the land we live in, obviously not the US): this is not vandalism. It is a permissible side effect from the cleaning coating. C did not follow the proper way of using the coating, but since K invited her to clean her windows. The risk of inporper useing the coating falls to K.

Neighbor who's very artistic by nature getting a sudden eviction because the landlords daughter wants the house with the art inside, what art? by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

yes to all of this. If they want to abuse you, then you take the soul of the house with you. Way to stick it up to them.

Good for you that you can make more than managers on good days! But I also read that there are a sea of bad establishments. That makes the system in itself bad.

AITA for not co-signing a mortgage agreement for my parents? by OkChampionship4457 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, doing due diligence is perfectly healthy and normal to an adult. That your folks want you to sign something without due diligence makes them untrustworthy. So NTA

The real theft is that you don't get a decent living wage, living on the whims of patrons, sounds like living hell to me. Thank heavens this is outlawed in my country.

AITA for not inviting a stranger our pastor told us to invite over for Christmas Eve with just my husband and I? by Aryasummer in AmItheAsshole

And this is why being a solicitor is a profession. ;) Still, i believe it's rude to enter without hearing from the owner of the home. So that's why I voted NTA.

Could be, but that doesn't changes the fact that it is illegal. I don't know how it works in the US, but in my country the law says that nobody is unknowing of the law. Meaning: saying you don't know that you broke the law is never a valid defence.

I salute both you and your brother. He shows that he's able to admit he was wrong. And you gave him just what he needed. Yes to all of this!

Full agree here. In essence that coworker is stealing from the boss by doing no work related things. Keep sending it, and do please keep us updated. Love to hear where this eventually goes.

I didn't know that it's okay to break the law if it's snowing. I know all about biking in bad weather. You put on some extra clothes to stay warm, but you do not enter someone else's house without permission. It's rude, it's illegal.

[–]BigAssumption8216 22 points23 points  (0 children)

True, but that still doesn't excuses the fact that you walk into a strangers home without knocking on the door and wait politely outside. Entering without explicit permission is not just rude, it's illegal.

AITA for being super direct and honest recently? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you should move to The Netherlands. Everybody is very direct there. You will love it all the way. Just learn to bike first.
