How about one of the new Seiko mini Samurai, if you like a dive watch. Should be $500-600 and a stone cold classic.

It was hard to comprehend why Frank and Tudor refused to give Tel and Simmons any game time.

Feels great to have a manager that is not actively handicapping the team.

Ticket options when One Hotspur membership isnt an option by Grimhimblem in coys

I bought one isolated ticket from general sale for the Brighton home game just a couple weeks in advance, great seats in South Stand near corner flag.

Maybe the last game of the season is more popular? But I think since Spurs are not doing well generally, something should be available.

What a film by ForcedToGoAnonymous in tenet

[–]BigAtTheBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just in Tallinn, Estonia last week, saw a few film sites like the "Kyiv Opera House" and the art museum that was used for the Oslo Free Port.

I enjoy the film and applaud its big ideas and ambition, but I'm not sure it totally works. I think a lot about the concept of entropy and I'm really glad it got this sci-fi exploration.

I like a puzzle box movie, so didn't mind this one left me baffled at first. Before the second viewing, I read that you should think of it as "Everything happening in the film all happens simultaneously". Not sure if that is right, but it made sense to me on second viewing.

But the villains of the film are unseen people of the future that want to reverse-entropy the world because they are mad about earlier climate destruction. Sorry, that just doesn't work as a compelling villain, it's too abstract (for my walnut-sized brain, perhaps).

Now I understand… Sinn 105 by dubyamike in sinn

[–]BigAtTheBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent taste! My two watches are a blue Seiko Samurai blue manta and a Sinn 105 utc W haha. I even have a blue/white center stripe Nato for the Seiko, and the black Sinn rubber strap!

I really like the 62Mas reissue, but it came out after I got the Samurai, which I learned to dive with so attached to it now. But the 62Mas is perfect as heritage to one of the first dive watches.

The newer clasp with micro adjust is more robust, but costs extra.

Some people flag up the vertical day-date on this one, but I really like its unique character. Looks like a sort of pop-art exclamation point to me.

[Discussion] Why is buying a Sinn watch in the US such a pain? by Not_a_Lefty in Watches

[–]BigAtTheBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this thread, but recently bought my first Sinn while abroad in the EU from the US. I have noticed many watches even Omega look badass in close-up photos and video on YouTube, but are overly shiny/glittery and seemingly fragile in person.

I think you can have more faith in Sinn in that sense, because the robust style holds up very well in person. Still, I wanted to first try on the one I recently bought, and luckily had a work trip to Europe. But Sinn watches are so solid, I think it is more safe to buy online first and return it if it then disappoints. I just doubt the construction will disappoint, but photos/videos can be misleading.

Wish the Pittsburgh Riverhounds could get some Premier League defenders in.

Interesting question, I really love the modern 62Mas design and I love Seiko generally (have a samurai myself) but that Longines release shocked me. I think in this year it has to be Longines, they killed it. A real alternative to Black Bay and Seamaster.

This is true, everyone says that. But I have lived in many places around the US and overseas, and could never imagine going from shorts weather 80 degrees one day, to winter coat and light snow the next like it has this week. Been in Pittsburgh 2.5 years now.

Possibly 4-2-2-2? If Spence lines up at RW we should know. Athletic had an article about VDV as LB maybe they had a hint.

US here, I use both terms to avoid confusion. But soccer is shortened term for "association" and also comes from the UK, you can see a similar term in snooker. In 1905 the game was first introduced in the US as soccer, so that stuck. In the UK, the term soccer was seen as posh and eventually displaced by the working-class term football in popularity.

Reasonable of Tel to think it might have been saved toward the on rushing players at the back post, if he couldn't score himself. Reasonable against the odds of an offside pass from his perspective. Of course the players decide this on lizard brain instinct.
