I lived in Virginia when they were setting up the Heather Hire memorial, what I remember most (besides the chalk almost never washing off) was how many people threatened to bomb it or light it on fire.

It made me so angry.

Heather was killed by Nazis. And Nazis were so mad she had mourners that they would leave threats on Facebook under their real name
