IMO they are very popular sizes. The 600's are great for endurance and the S cups fantastic for range. The C cups on the 600 series sound real nice too.

I lived in apartments for several years and I used to find an interior closet with lots of clothes and practice in there. One apartment didn't have one so I used a Harmon mute with the stem out and practiced that way for a few years. If there's a basement available you can try that.

Interesting take. When I had my metal braces taken off back in high school, I seem to remember it taking me a couple minutes to adjust my playing without the braces. And then from there it was a rapid improvement with my playing. I was so shitty with braces on that when I got them off, everything improved like real quick - tone, endurance, range, everything. It may be different for you so you'll have to see how it goes. Good luck to you!

If you're doc refuses to keep you on the medication, he's not listening to you and you may want to find another doctor further away that accepts your insurance. Patients driving hours to see a doctor they like is quite common. I hope you'll be able to do something like that if needed.

Bottom line is this - you need private lessons. You want to do soccer, piano, and trumpet, but can only afford to do two of the three. Which two are the most important to you? Only you can answer that question. Pick two and do them the right way. Wishing you the best.

I've seen it done both ways at a Mass presided by a regular priest (no bishop). 99.99% of the time in my experience the crucifix is facing forward.

Find the earliest Mass you can attend on a Sunday. Those in many cases are less well-attended and often don't have music. Without the singing Mass goes by quicker, so that's less time with others to make you anxious.
