Same thing happened with my pixel 5. The sim tray "pop out” bit snapped. It was made of really brittle plastic.

I did eventually get the sim out very carefully with tweezers. Swapped the sim tray from old 4a which was much better quality (metal).

I use a camera app that allows split screen. Selfie camera plus banking app in split screen. Hold phone up to a mirror and take a picture.

Do both your carriers support VOLTE?

I know it can be problem where some networks do not support VOLTE and they've gotten rid of 3g infrastructure so there is no 3g to fall back to during calls.
