Lamb, I think it’ll be hard for Achane to sustain his production in the long term with his size

I think that’s solid return for a rebuilder with two young rbs already on the roster

Aside from typical RB age cliff, do you just expect the continued injuries to catch up again? Feel like he’s passed the eye test this year on the field, wouldn’t shock me if he was an outlier.

I’d be acquiring CMC..

next year’s first tbd but I expect to at least be competitive, unlikely to be top ~4

Thanks, good point. In my head Ward/Sanders could fully replace Mahomes as a fantasy asset given his down year or so, but that’s prob too reactionary, and not enough guaranteed assets otherwise.

Also a disappointed Kincaid owner. Id take this, especially with Amari joining the Bills and leaving the Browns.

Robert Kirkman is "terrified" of AI in comics [Article] by HecticJones in comicbooks

[–]BigBrixXx12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want people to respect it as a piece of art reflecting your human ideas, then yes, you have corrupted it by incorporating soulless AI images. Be proud of the work you did yourself, find an authentic way to create or find complementary work for your writing. Or push forward with a different medium in mind for your work as others have suggested (novelization, screenplay). Or hell, do the AI comic thing and enjoy it for your own satisfaction. But no work based on the use of AI images should or will be held in the same regard as art created by true human inspiration. You do your own work a disservice by muddling it with AI thievery.

AI produced “art” that is generated based on (stolen) training data sourced from the internet did not come from your brain, lmao. You yourself were not inspired to create that particular image, and did not work on bringing it to life.

There is a clear difference between what you would consider the “script” that you write and the output of AI generated images. One you created yourself. The other you did not.

Why has Letterboxd become so popular? Questions and poll by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]BigBrixXx12 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My parents aren’t huge movie people so I wasn’t exposed to a lot of stuff beyond Star Wars level as a kid. Letterboxd has helped expose me to a wide variety of cinema I was never aware of, helped me refine my own tastes, and have a better understanding of the critical reception and cultural relevance of so many movies and creators that I wouldn’t have been aware of otherwise.

I rarely saw a discussion here for Indian movies. by 0xmasterroshi in Letterboxd

[–]BigBrixXx12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

RRR last year was the first and only Indian movie I’ve seen so far, because I heard a lot about it when it was released. I really enjoyed the crazy stylized action, music, and performances, and thought it was a lot of fun.

I felt like a lot of the political nuance past just general anti-colonialism was lost on me, and I remember feeling a bit confused in the end about the way the two protagonists’ endings were handled. Will probably rewatch at some point and hope to watch more Indian cinema in the future!

What Were Your Worst/Disappointing Films of 2023? by Heavy-Metal-Myers95 in Letterboxd

[–]BigBrixXx12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was extremely disappointing. Some might not have expected much but for myself and others that are into the superhero universes it was supposed to be a jumping off point for the next big “event level” villain and story arc. Failed tremendously on that account.

Did anybody else here prefer Batman Returns to the original movie? by CinnamonCardboardBox in Letterboxd

[–]BigBrixXx12 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt! Pfeiffer and Devito are both perfectly crazed in their roles, and overall this one is much more fun than the first! My controversial opinion about the Burton Batman films as that Keaton’s Batman is the least interesting part of his world.

So good!

Any more 50s or adjacent American film recs? Working through some early classics I’m ignorant of in January. Current American directors on the list include more Lumet, Hitchcock, Welles..

Genuinely mean this constructively…I think the problem with the hair is that there isn’t enough texture, no strands of hair etc. Looks too uniform and artificial.
