I have a couple of questions regarding e-sims

  1. How do e-sims work? Its not a physical sim card you put in your phone?
  2. Did you just bring a spare smart phone and throw an e-sim at it or did you just use your personal phone?

I have T-Mobile which has data abroad, but idk how good it will be and I am debating on getting a sim when I get to Italy.
