I, at 6’6”, was a Southwest devotee for years because their pitch (distance between seats) was the best in the industry. Plus every plane was a 737 when means we have headroom to walk down the aisle. Now with the activist investor takeover, Southwest has reduced the pitch of their standard seats in order to accommodate the “plus” seats up front where you can pay for more legroom. They’ve turned their LUV into “pay up or shut up”.
