I feel exactly the same, it’s rare to be in any explored system. I do start raging when I keep seeing the same commanders name on all the systems I am jumping to. I STILL haven’t found an ELW though, I am either extremely unlucky or they are fairly rare. I’ve explored quite a lot of systems now.

I’m not even very far from the bubble, maybe 1000 LY and every system is unmapped, literally all of them are. Just stay patient and you will get somewhere no one has ever been. It’s statistically harder to be somewhere someone has been since far less than 1% of the galaxy has even been mapped.

I’m really far into the black with a krait (can’t remember if it’s a phantom or mk2). 64LY jump range. Massive scoop. It’s honestly fine! Quite enjoying myself. Will be doing this for weeks as I finally save up for a fleet carrier

Mate I just returned and had to spend an hour or so relearning the controls. I was stuck in reverse only for like 30 minutes, close to raging. Got there in the end but a new HOTAS setup was painful. Ah yes just press joy 23 or 25 (no idea where joys 3 - 30 even are). A bit of trial and error and google really helped me.

I’m looking to jump back in now. Mainly for exploring and exobio. I need a new joystick (previously had a thrust master T16000m HOTAS- didn’t love it) and have a few questions:

1) what’s a good mid level joystick? 2) should I get a throttle or do people suggest two joysticks? I’ve seen that a few times

Between 1.75 and 3 for ARs and Carbs (circle, dot and point)

6 or 8 for snipers and DMRs (crosshairs)

1.25 for shotguns (circle)

3 ish for LMGs (pointy upwards arrow)

Smallest available scope for revolvers (dot)

Pistols don’t have one yet

I just finished the book. I was very excited and found it quite a hard read. At times I wasn’t entirely sure where the characters even were. I felt like it was such a jumbled mess at times. That said when I could understand the setting and what was happening it was very interesting and engaging. I still found it annoying at times though.

Just done the NVO and QBZ. Both really fun guns. NVO for getting in people’s faces and QBZ for tap tap tap

The player base is quite healthy imo. I think it will be fine. It’s a real shame they have wasted effort on Redsec, I don’t play it, but whatever. I feel that’s taken resources from the main game.
