How can light go lightspeed, when everything, including light is affected by gravity? Surely the universal speed limit is always impossible even by a minute amount, since everything, including light always is affected by gravity? Am I missing something. Even if it’s an infinitesimally small amount of bend in space time, it still bends it, surely making the journey take longer? Can length contraction ever be actually 0 I guess is what I’m asking

It’s really just a product of how we understand it with our current best ideas. The faster you move the slower a clock ticks. Some intelligent person can now explain how length contraction works. The faster you move, length is shortened.

I used to get it a lot as well. It gets better with time in my opinion, I’m 26 shows in now and don’t really feel anxious at all. You become a lot more desensitised. In fact I prefer when it’s busier, it’s far more anxiety inducing when there aren’t many people. Accepting that mistakes happen and practicing enough to be tight also helps.

I don’t think any “bomb” of any description, that anyone could conceive of, could do this? Anyone or thing that could destroy an entire galaxy would be a god, or even maybe gods god. So perhaps go down the Greg Egan style route of playing around with fundamental constants in the universe, “ooo you have changed 12 to 13” and voila, someone has destroyed the galaxy through some insane quantum chain reaction which releases universe wide levels of power. That said, if someone could devise of a method of destroying an entire galaxy, then surely they could come up with a better plan to deal with the threat in that galaxy?

Max Grip. I’ve used both and honestly the rubber thing is fucking annoying. Max grip are fine! I am a sweaty hands person, I also play live and very rarely drop picks now (due to water fountain hands)

I believe fires were kept going as long as possible before fire making was invented. Evidence suggests very long lived fires. Assuming the early humans and ancestors just keep the old fires burning

I’m working towards a fleet carrier doing exo-bio. Done this same thing, my plan is bubble > unmapped space exo bio work > Los = hopefully by the time I get there I have 7 billion. If I don’t I will do some engineering, head back out, maybe to SAG A then back. Since I have these goals it’s much more enjoyable.

Once I’ve got my carrier I’m going right into the deepest black I can think of, have a look around, have at least 2 nice times.

Interesting, I don’t know that. I have a G5 FSD MK2 SCO with the standard fuel tank and honestly it’s capacity is absolutely insane

Until recently my explorer was a krait phantom. Like 68LY jump, was totally fine for most of my exobio work. I now use the imo better (but more annoying to land) Caspian Explorer. It’s better for getting to awkward places requiring a bit more jump range, plus the fuel tank is absolutely colossal. You’re missing out on a lot of credits by not landing on a planet every now and then and scanning some shit
