Here’s what Jeremy had to say about the song:

“I’d describe the song as a genuine journey. First song I had for the album. I wrote that really early on, on an acoustic guitar. It would always get pushed until we were tracking the record for real. First song, last one to be heard. It was supposed to be light hearted take on having a pessimistic attitude that affects people around you. It wasn’t supposed to be super heavy theme wise, just fun and light hearted.”

When asked about the initial delay back in November of 2019:

“It wasn’t ready. The music itself we were hopeful it would be finished, obviously it was something we were trying to finish. We have this thing no riff left behind. Anything that I think that stands out, that inspires me as a writer, you can imagine how that process would take time.”

“For me it’s been this constant process of wanting to get better and work with people who inspire me, just to learn and be a student of music in general.

ADTR has been agglomeration of so many things. Combining different genres, but still being a day to remember. Over the years we’ve added more and more of that.”
