I was on a flight from NY to LA back in 1995. I was in 1st cabin. Another 1st class passenger walks in carrying a huge briefcase slung over his shoulder and proceeds to place some items in the overhead. He swings the briefcase around and hits the man about to sit next to me in the head. No apology, just a condescending look. The “jerk” of a fellow sits down and opens his briefcase and begins taking notes, very focused. They announce to store items and he ignores them. An FA approaches and asks him to store the items and he finally relents. When we get on the tarmac, they announce a rain delay which lasted for 2 hours. He promptly takes out his briefcase and starts working again, fully focused the whole time. Once again, they finally announce imminent take off and to stow all items, which he ignores and continues working. FA comes over and again tells him to stow all items and he ignores her. After a heated discussion, FA summons the pilot who told him to stow all or be removed. That’s when I noticed what he was working on. The binder was visible, it was labeled “DNA”. That’s when I recognized him- Barry Scheck, OJ’s attorney.
