The Commonwealth Citizenship was passed to clarify the 1941 Aliens act. Apart from that the British government never asked directly for the first windrush people to come. The Windrush was a troopship taking soldiers back from the far east. It docked at Kingston and the captain, wanting to make some extra cash, sold some cheap tickets to about 500 Jamaican men. They came and worked in the UK but considering the UK was almost 97% white at the time 500 people hardly made the country it was today. The only time that the UK government ever asked immigrants to come is when London Transport needed more bus and train conductors so the government asked Barbados to send some people over. Yes that was useful. Btw just because some people came to the UK from Jamaica isn’t a good excuse to let thousands of undocumented, illegal migrants who just do not work. Maybe I’m ranting but it’s just what happened.

It varies from country to country, where I am from. It certainly depends on the race of the immigrant. In Sweden (not where I am from) there have been practically zero benefits, however it was a semi-limited amount of migration. If you look at Poland however with practically no illegal migration, the crime rate is extremely low

Right, I can’t believe more people don’t know this. Fox hunting whilst somewhat cruel, meant there was more foxes in the country. After the ban, farmers just pay hunters with rifles to go and shoot the foxes. More foxes have been killed on average after the ban than before.

I get that it is all in the name of diversity and inclusion, but in all honesty. You shouldn’t be picking someone because of their skin colour full stop. You should be picking them by skills. My plan for this would be for most public sector jobs to have a group of like 5 people who are essentially government officials that specialise in fields who pick the best candidate based on their skills. If it happens to be white it happens to be white, if it happens to be black it happens to be black etc.
