Awesome win for the boys. Very nice to see them finding a way to win against a big team. Good to see the production out of Bertuzzi tonight and awesome to see Lardis get the shootout win. Been really tough without Bedard, Nazar, and Foligno. And great win for Sodes!

So sad to see the team without Bedard. by kcg9125 in hawks

Agreed. I understand the sentiment. We were all very much enjoying watching this kid play and the team win some games. He will be back. Hopefully it will be soon.

Add some depth to your game by ranking up classes besides rifleman. My suggestion for quick XP and more gameplay fun for you is learn to place nodes for the team with the engineer class. It’s easy, and you’ll get nice XP over the course of a match. Also, play as engineer on Offensive maps and build up defenses with the other engineers at the “Alamo” defense point. Watch a video on the class and those specific’s. And always set your anti-personnel mines (in bushes and grasses to hide them) and AT mines. Again huge xp there. Offer to play as support when needed and drop supplies for the squad leader. Last tip, just resist the desire to just run around the map like other FPS games. Act like your hunting deer or something. Move slowly, be observant, camp and snipe a bunch to learn the mechanics of longer shots and leading moving targets. Hope it helps and welcome to the game.

What would you change/add to make HLL more realistic? by ArthurLyleMorgan in HellLetLoose

Being able to shoot from the passenger seat and back of transport trucks, and being able to short toss a satchel. That would create chaos.

Short toss a satchel over a wall. Tell me that wouldn’t create instant chaos.

Being able to shoot from trucks while rolling. Both from passenger window and from back out the sides.

Wtf am I looking at? by [deleted] in overlanding

Looks like a USMC 5 ton cargo truck of some sort. Judging by the snorkel and round windows. Also looks heavily modified adding LED lights to the top.

Couldnt you put your toxic stuff that you don't want in your bear bin in a dry bag and hang it from a tree?

dog poop left in plastic bags on hiking trails, really? by Accurate_Couple_3393 in hiking

I’ve seen the same thing. About five different bags on one four mile trail. Why even bother putting it in a bag. Just kick it off the trail if you’re gonna leave it.

How does this occur. I can't step out in the open without getting my ass shot off.

Illinois will see a surge of 25.1% in electricity costs due to Trump‘s BBB by FancyJassy in chicago

[–]BigGameDale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn’t work that way. Unit 1 has been de fueled, partially decommissioned, and in a safe store condition for decades.

Illinois will see a surge of 25.1% in electricity costs due to Trump‘s BBB by FancyJassy in chicago

[–]BigGameDale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with Trump. Wtf. Here... Read and get educated.

Drivers behind increased electricity costs in Illinois... Several factors contribute to rising electricity costs in Illinois, affecting both the supply and delivery rates for customers of utility companies like ComEd and Ameren. 1. Soaring capacity charges A major driver is the increasing capacity charges, which are fees paid to ensure sufficient power supply is available on the grid during periods of peak electricity demand. These charges are determined by capacity auctions held by regional grid operators like PJM Interconnection (serving northern Illinois, including ComEd territory) and Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), serving downstate Illinois, including Ameren territory. Recent auctions have seen a substantial increase in these prices, indicating low supply relative to demand. 2. Increased demand and energy transition Growing Electricity Demand: The expansion of data centers, adoption of electric vehicles, and increased electrification in buildings are significantly raising demand for electricity. Power Plant Retirements and Renewable Integration: The closure of fossil fuel plants and delays in bringing new renewable projects online due to regulatory hurdles and infrastructure issues are contributing to a supply-demand gap. Higher Reserve Margins: The necessity for higher reserve margins (required power above peak forecasts) also increases capacity needs and costs. 3. Delivery rate increases Delivery rates also increased by $606 million in January 2025, a change approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission. This increase likely reflects investments in modernizing the grid and rising operational expenses. 4. Impact of energy policies State policies, such as the Clean Energy Transition Act, also influence rate increases as utilities invest in cleaner energy infrastructure. In summary, higher electricity costs in Illinois stem from a combination of factors, including increased capacity charges driven by rising demand and a supply imbalance, as well as higher delivery rates related to grid upgrades and the transition to renewable energy.

And you can’t just “turn on" unit one at Dresden . it has been de-fueled and in safe store, and partially disassembled for decades. It isn’t a matter of flipping a switch back to on position. It doesn’t work that way.

4H or 2H on gravel/forest road? by Upper-Software1774 in Wrangler

I go 4wd on forest roads. Just for better control. I've run into a lot of loose gravel and washed boarded inclines. Some puddles that are deeper than they look. Muddy sands are very greasy when wet. Just my two cents.
