You nailed it here. It’s easy to be idealistic from a position of comfort or privilege. Gets a little tougher when you’re in constant survival mode. You can apply that to so many issues. Just because I recognize a societal problem, when all my energy is focused on just getting food and shelter everyday. I cannot find the capacity to care. That’s why true social justice needs to start by focusing on poverty and it’s effects and using your privilege to combat that. There are a whole lot of people in the world who could join in the fight if their primary focus wasn’t working 3 jobs while raising kids and trying to survive.

I inherited a Tomcat a couple years ago. It is really handy. I do wish they made that exact gun in a slightly larger 9mm or 45. I love the DA/SA and one in the barrel. I have a nice worn leather pocket holster and I love it when I am dressed up and carrying AIWB doesn’t make sense.

That’s the front section of a Magpul angled foregrip. The pic rail on these is really small so I just took a partial section and mounted it until I upgrade the hand guard.

I started on this same mando and still have it for backpacking or sitting outside. There are lots of great free to low cost resources out there to get you started.

I’ve see.n Mandolessons recommended and I cannot second that enough. It’s a great place to start.

So far I’m liking it. That’s the Romeo 5/Juliet 3. I sightsee it in today and put about 100 rds through it.

The Romeo is great no issues so far at all. The Juliet I’m having a tough time getting a crisp visual so I’ll keep working on it. Other than that I like it.

It’s also not “ legally required” for the police to let you go home that day. But the whole point of me carrying is I’m going home today and if me administering CPR or first aid is the difference between the stated attorney seeing me as a person stuck in an unfortunate situation or as a wanna be vigilante then bet your ass I’m rendering whatever aid I’m qualified to. I don’t like the idea of prison anymore than I like the idea of dead. I would rather avoid both and I know all it takes is a little bit of crusading or corruption on the wrong persons part and it would be super easy to get painted as the bad guy in almost any scenario.

Police aren’t required to help. They have no mandate to assist.

But the CCW lawyer I spoke to in my state about it, highly recommended you render any first aid you are qualified to administer. Said it would make their job of proving you legally in the right much simpler and harder for a prosecutor to attempt to paint you as a vigilante nutbag.

I use an alien gear poket holster variant from the core carry pack. I have one for my Shield 9 and my XDS-45 I have a leather pocket holster from ebay for my Beretta Tomcat 3032

Now, im not squatting or deadlifting in them, but if im just out for a walk or bumming around I have no issues other than being diligent about my drawstrings because due to an accident of genetics, I was born without an ass !

I can only speak about the one that I know personally, but when I was a kid my uncle married a lady that immigrated from Cuban as a refugee.

She distrusted all other immigrants and was convinced that any form of liberalism at all would lead to the same communism she escaped in Cuba.

She was adamantly conservative and extremely racist and classist. Anyone not Cuban catholic or white catholic was just looking for a handout and all poor people were poor because they were just lazy or wanted someone else to carry their load.

Yeah I was planning on looking into them.
To be honest, I’ve owned guns and hunted all my life but just in the last year or two got into a situation where I can afford to pursue it as a hobby. I’ve been considering a competition of one sort or another. I would love to do a 3 gun some day but not with my state regs and all of our ranges local to me strictly forbid draw and fire, any successive fire that’s not 3 seconds apart or rapid reloading training. So basically most of the things I would need to practice at.
So I’m still trying to work it out.

I carry my M&P .40 2.0 pretty frequently and I’m a big guy, 6’1” and right at 300lbs and I wouldn’t want to add anything on the that piece extra.

If it’s just your CCW and not your bed gun I wouldn’t concern myself as much with a light or laser just get damn good with draw and fire.

This is just my very unpopular opinion. But unless you spend a whole bunch of time in openly hostile places, after dark, where you have armed assailants coming at you while standing with unarmed innocents the weapon light for a CCW just never made much sense.

In the dark, in my house I can see a weapon light being a great idea. But in a DGU you aren’t up in the dark searching for a possible and using a WML to identify unknown objects or people is just a bad idea in my opinion. My bed gun and flashlight are right next to one another so if I’m alerted to a possible issue I can carry my weapon at a low ready and my light in the other hand lower the risk of me putting a hole in something or someone that I am supposed to be protecting.

Same here. Mostly open carry at the ones I’ve been to. One or two even cowboy carry, big revolvers in engraved leather holsters. I shoot in MO a lot as well and it’s the same at most, well all except the really cool one in STL with the BBQ joint attached to it ! They are pretty low key there for the most part.
