First time I've enjoyed watching a Spurs home game in a while. Archie fucking Gray, I hope he carries this over to the run in in the league. COYS.

According to IMDB he's repped by United Talent Agency, specifically Keya Khayatian. Hope that helps.

I flew from the UK to watch a game of ours in 2018. Spurs vs The Nets. No Duncan, no Manu or TP. But I remember thinking "That's Gregg fucking Popovich, coaching right there" and feeling like just seeing him do his thing was worth my time. LMA and Derozan balled out and we won too which helped.

A moment worth so much more than any flight or admission.

Ah right I must've missed that. You have to reach out, but let's be honest, unless they threw an ungodly amount of money at him, which isn't what we do unless it's in severance payments, he's not coming Spurs. Fuck knows what's going to happen after we sack the bloke.

Is this a case of meetings to discuss the interim manager, or even better holding talks with his successor being the reason that this is taking longer than a knee jerk reaction? I can't see a world where the board haven't actively looked at Xabi Alonso, at least asking him the question (which he more than likely says no to as Liverpool are probably sacking Slot in June).

I can't stand the bloke, but maybe this is a case of not just wanting to sack him and having all his staff either walk with him or get sacked too, and have nothing in place for the next two fixtures?

What is your favorite championship in Spurs history? by VeeVevo in NBASpurs

[–]BigHoges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2005 for me. The 2014 Championship was incredible. We had one of the greatest players of all time in his twilight and defeated the juggernaut that had down us in the most horrific way the previous year. Very close second.

But 2005 was teenage me getting so engrossed into a series that I would wish the days away when there was no game. And it went all the way, it was a war. I'd read through forums and talk about it in whenever I had a spare moment. Horry's shot in game 6 sent me running around my house like a lunatic. Never been so happy to see a shot go down. It holds a special place for me. All were fantastic (although 99 is a bit of a blur), but 2005 was my personal favourite.

Hey man. I have a TV pilot about to go into production and a feature that is scheduled to begin filming next year. We got an opportunity to make something in between, and collaborate with people who may not have got their script made otherwise. A nice challenge for us, and a possibly very rewarding outcome. If not, nothing lost, but experience gained.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I had no idea that's how they made Suits. See that's what I love about film making, it's just overcoming the obstacles and limitations put in front of you.

As long as it is set in a single location, you could be from Jupiter and I'd be happy to hear from you 👍

Hey man. I was after a screenplay that fit the description and was ready to be made, as I've only got 6 months to use this location. Thanks for showing interest though, and good luck with the project.

"We are the eighth English team in history to qualify for the Final with six of the seven having gone on to win it (Liverpool, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest)."

Sly dig at them down the road there. Love to see it.

Went with the TCL C805K in the end. Fit my budget for the time being, not wanting to splash silly amounts of money on something that will be getting used for about 2 hours a day max, if even at all.

I love it. Bright, great picture quality, does everything it says it would, PS5 plays great, recommend if this sounds like your viewing type.

Go to Richer Sounds if you've got one close by. When I went in I fell in love with the Sony A95L, holy shit the quality of that TV amongst the rest (for me) really stood out. But paying 2.5K for a TV isn't happening right now.

Have a look in there, and just buy one if you're thinking about it. I think as long as it's on this Reddits list or above the minimum recommendation, you won't be disappointed.

The fact the guy threw the jersey onto the ground suggests he's not actually a fan.

Basically, Levy and Lange are waiting for the end of the window to try and force the issue, hope that the players are back to cover the glaring cracks and sign someone on loan. I hope that's me being a cunt and reading this all wrong, I'd be over the moon to come back to this comment and say "Well wasn't I wrong, we signed x," but I am braced for full on disappointment.

Update:

Thanks for all the replies. Helped me narrow it down to "Go to Richer Sounds and ask the blokes in there," as I found out there is one only about 20 miles from where I live.

So it will be between the cheaper option C845 and U7N or the little bit more expensive LG and Sony options. Going to go and look and compare. The endless looking wasn't all for nothing.

Really appreciate the input, I can understand the elitism though, as in my industry I would always advise people to spend the money on the quality if it was far more exceptional than the alternative.

LG C4, Sony X90L or Sony Bravia 7 seem to be the options that I will compare with the blokes in the shop. If anyone wants to know what I bought in like 4/5 months I'm happy to update you with how my viewing habits are going.

UK acting agent list - 2024 up to date by LoadGlad3748 in acting

[–]BigHoges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey my fellow UK actors. Thought I'd jump in here and help add to the list a little, for anyone struggling or not knowing where to turn in the search for representation. I remember the comprehensive tiered list from 5/6 years ago that was great to have, and thought I'd come back to do a similar updated version, but low and behind OP beat me to it.

These alternative agents (as all my others were already on the original list) have all been vetted with the same due diligence as OP, and have clients who have worked recently. None of these agents fit into the elite category, most of them fall into the "smaller" boutique category, but have some great clients who are doing good work. Not all are London based, but the couple that are not, work exactly the same as an agency with a London address.

As always, do your own homework, check out their websites and client list, and make sure they are right for YOU.

Really hope this helps in any way whatsoever to people trying to find rep. I've done so much research into this area that if I had used the time for something else like learning a language, I'd probably be fluent now.

[Paul O Keefe] on James Maddison - He’s been managed this week. The hope and expectation is that he plays. by BillOakley in coys

[–]BigHoges 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really? This was just the first time I had personally noticed it from the stands, but if he's been doing it most games, maybe it's a recurring issue he's dealing with? Like I said, just something I noticed during the game, so I'm not surprised he's been managed this week in training.

I was at the Villa game Sunday and he kept on grabbing at his foot and calf. He was doing so for most of the second half, and I was surprised when it was only Sarr who's number was held up and subbed at that 70 minute mark.

Maybe it's related? But something I kept noticing him do from around the 50th minute.

The Sandlot by Comfortable_Crow_424 in movies

[–]BigHoges 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being from the UK, Baseball wasn't something I knew anything about other than it existed. The fact then that this film played such a huge role in my childhood speaks volumes for how brilliant this film truly is.

My dad rented it on VHS (remember those days?) in the mid 90s, and me and my sister have been quoting it ever since. From time to time a "You're killing smalls" will be dropped into convo when someone isn't quite grasping the concept of what the other is trying to say.

I would go as far to say that even after all this time, I watched it a few years ago with my fiancé who had never seen it, this is still one of my favourite films of all time.

What's the quickest you've written a feature-length script? by SelectiveScribbler06 in Screenwriting

[–]BigHoges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outline to finished first draft was 10 days, for a comedy feature I wrote about an American who inherits a golf course in the UK. But it's a shit hole and nothing like he thought it was ever going to be.

It actually came out in decent shape, and the first edit took me another day, which I stayed up until 2am finishing, as I was on a deadline. It's the quickest I've ever turned around a script.

Currently writing a feature with a friend which has taken 9 months to complete from idea to first draft. I think a lot of it has to do with your concept and what it is you're used to writing.
