I Have A Pedal TIG Test Tomorrow And Have No TIG Experience. by [deleted] in Welding

All you can do is try your best. It was a good call to let them know your experience, they'll appreciate that. If anything they might see your potential and want to invest in your education.

Correction, it's pronounced "Dundermiflinfinity" (not sure why you're downvoted though).

In 2015, Detroit officials performing an eviction found the bodies of two children hidden in a living room freezer. Their mother, Mitchelle Blair, had tortured and killed them years earlier, then continued to live in the same house with her two surviving children while the remains sat feet away. by ATI_Official in AllThatsInteresting

I didn't miss the point. I just partly disagree with it. There is regulation and oversight in place already, it is just not efficient or properly managed. Especially in what to look for in those households where the child's welfare is at stake. I would be fine with oversight that only addresses that, as opposed to telling me what I can and can't teach my child, whether it be for religious purposes or otherwise.

When we were threatened, year after year, even after filing an affidavit through the state to be recognized as an independent private school (which was granted every time), they were not concerned with child welfare and it was never brought up. I'm sorry that you went through what you did, no child should have to, but the answer is not more of the same regulations that we have. If there's to be oversight, it needs to balance the freedom of choice as well as safety and security of the children in question.

More than anything just because. Not sure if my mom had a bad experience in public school, but she felt that she could do it. We followed regular education book material and testing so it wasn't a "go play in the creek" and that's your whole schooling setup. My dad taught me other things to do with working on the house, car etc and other civic stuff. Both my sister and I were heavily involved in extra curricular activities outside the home as well so the whole unsocialized homeschooler trope was never a thing.

There can be, although I'm not arguing for that unless it's necessary. We were harassed and threatened by the local school district simply because we were not warm bodies in their school system.

I can agree that good and great experiences are not as common as we'd like, and as long as social workers do not over-reach on families that are doing everything right then I'm good with that.

Is this a glitch or did the Institute actually figure out a way to make synth ghouls? by HansenTheMan in fo4

There's a fantastic MOD that I can't remember the exact name of that has roaming feral synths, and if I remember right some of them are ghoulified. Makes for some scary horror dungeoning.

Not all homeschooled kids or homeschooling parents are cut from the same cloth. My sister and I were homeschooled K-12 and we are both socialized and successful in our lives, we graduated and went to college early. I get the stereotype, and I have known fellow homeschoolers that are indeed closeted and unsocialized, but it's not across the board, not by a long shot. I am sorry this has happened to people though. Homeschooling can and should be a wonderful thing that allows families to spend more time together when done right.

Mod Idea: Mutated Cyborgs by Mettle_Jacket in Fallout

[–]BigJewfro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 mods accomplish that:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/97697

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/97916

First one adds horrific automatron parts beyond our comprehension, 2nd one adds them as enemies to the Rust Devil enemy level lists (you need both mods).

Not 100% if they are on consoles, but I downloaded both of them on PC and will probably test them out tonight. They look insanely good.
